Mike Ehmcke spent most of his childhood, adolescence, and college years relocating to various locations throughout the country. His love of Star Wars/sci-fi/fantasy/comics and superh

eroes helped ease the pain of all the moves he encountered. As a high school sophomore, he started working forThe Mark Twain Musical Drama. His love of theatre and audio had him chasing schools that would be able to give him the knowledge he was looking for. This propelled him into his current role as an audio engineer. He has spent 29 years working in the industry with the last 16 ½ years being spent at one of the top entertainment companies in the world. Mike is the host of both We Be Geeks and Mighty Marvel Geeks

Marty Spears is based in Nashville, where he has been living at or in it’s surrounding areas since he was 5. His first memories of sci-fi comes from his mom watching re-runs of the original Star Trek. From there it grew to Star Wars and cartoons. As he got older, sports started to dominate his activities and viewing. But around 1992, that began to change. That’s the year he was introduced to comic books. He had to find out what this whole “Death of Superman” was all about. Plus there was this pretty amazing comic-book inspired cartoons that began coming out like “Batman: The Animated Series”, “X-Men” and “The Tick”. After that, he was hooked, and has been a lover of comic books and sci-fi genre TV ever since. Marty now has over 10 years of radio broadcasting experience and 8 years of TV broadcasting experience to go along with his recent start in podcasting. He also runs the web store for Rick’s Comic City in Nashville, TN. He has 1 young son whom he enjoys re-watching Batman: TAS with whenever they can. Julz Hendricks loves comics. Coming into them much later then most, she spends a lot of time making up for it. Her kids are surrounded by them every waking moment, and she wouldn’t have it any other way. In her non existent free time, she likes to watch Doctor Who as well as talk about it to anyone that will listen. She has a Comic-Con addiction that keeps growing as the days go by. Her life goal is to get through the Game of Thrones books and if fate will ever allow it, meet Matt Smith. She loves supernatural TV shows, but refuses to actually watch Supernatural. Ten seasons…who has time for that?! She writes for Bleeding Cool and loves having people respond to her articles. You can chat with her on Twitter () or just send her memes of John Carter. Then you will be her friend forever!

This week, the Dashing Duo welcome the director, producers, and a few cast members from the upcoming film The Beast Comes At Midnight. The group talks about making the film, and what the film is about. It was a great group to talk to, and we all had a lot of fun.
