Big thanks to the old employer Axminster Tools for sponsoring this project on the Free Online Woodworking School. The first two parts have just been released on YouTube!

When we started the school, we did so with no idea of where it could go, or what it could be, yet continued to plug away at it out of a passion for publicly sharing knowledge in a structured, lecture like fashion that gives anyone a roadmap to become a more competent maker.
Only in the past year or so, with the addition of project packs, have we began coming close to breaking even financially on the time and money expense it takes to film these series. Hence why we’ve only managed to film and produce one project a year until now.
Having Axminster Tools sponsor this series however, is the next leap in taking this education model forward. To be clear, we’re not trying to undercut any paid online or physical courses by offering this content for free. We’re focusing on the grassroots aspects of woodworking by lowering the barrier of entry as much as we can, before guiding people towards formal training if they want to take things further.
This beautiful box is made from American Black Walnut, with a Walnut Burr lid, Maple interior lining, Macassar Ebony handle, and finished with smartWare hinges and one of our very own Emblem Coins.
