Behold! An attempt at drum content!

I picked up a set of Iron Angel Hoops from and put them on my snare drum. Here is a little before and after comparison. I just used my GoPro to capture the audio and video.

The drum in question is 14”x6.5” Black Magic snare that originally came with black chrome die-cast hoops. The Black Magic has been discontinued but Ludwig’s Universal Black Brass snare drum bares a striking resemblance 🤔

Personally I like what the Angel Hoops are doing. I heard a “darker” and “more open” sound compared to the die-cast hoops which is something I’ve been looking for. Not quite as open as a triple fl**ge hoop.

If you’re looking to change up the visual and sonic aesthetic of your drums maybe give Angel Hoops a try!
