Christopher Plumridge is a playwright living in Essex, in the UK. A writer, sometimes actor and director, who otherwise spends his time as a Quality Engineer for an aviation company in East Anglia. He began writing plays in 2020 during lockdown, as a means to keep his interest in the arts flowing. Since then he has written over sixty plays and monologues, some of which have been staged in England, America and Australia. He lives in a Victorian house in a small rural town in Essex, with his wife, stepson and dogs.

Cris Eli Blak is an emerging proud Black playwright whose work has been performed around the world. He is currently a staff writer on the hit Starz series 𝙋𝙤𝙬𝙚𝙧 𝘽𝙤𝙤𝙠 𝙄𝙄𝙄: 𝙍𝙖𝙞𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙆𝙖𝙣𝙖𝙣 and an artist-in-residence with Abingdon Theatre Company and Liberation Theatre Company. He is the inaugural winner of the Black Broadway Men Playwriting Initiative and the Atlanta Shakespeare Company's inaugural winner of the Muse of Fire BIPOC Playwriting Festival, and the winner of the 2024 Charles M. Getchell New Play Award. He was a resident playwright with The State University of New York - Oswego, Fosters Theatrical Artists Residency, Paterson Performing Arts Development Council and La Lengua Teatro en Español/AlterTheater Ensemble; the recipient of the Michael Bradford Residency from Quick Silver Theatre Company; and was in the inaugural class of fellows for the Black Theatre Coalition, as well as the recipient of the inaugural Emerging Playwrights Fellowship from The Scoundrel & Scamp Theatre. His work has been by Smith & Kraus, Inc., YOUTHPlays, Applause Books, New World Theatre, Breath of Fire Latina Theater Ensemble, and in the Black Theatre Review.

Synopsis: For Maya Kaplan, Christmas is her life… and she hates every minute of it. As acting manager of a year-round Christmas store, Maya is force-fed jolly, subjected to hearing the same holiday songs on loop day after day after day. Fortunately, Maya’s nightmare will be coming to an end in a few months as the store will finally shut its doors to become a Starbucks. Or will it? Enter Hugo McGee, a longtime customer devastated to learn of the store’s closing. Refusing to allow a local institution to disappear, Hugo makes it his mission to raise the money and keep Yuletide Cheer open, despite Maya’s objections.

Hugo Saves Christmas…in May! is a heartfelt comedy about two people from different backgrounds, coming together and connecting through family, nostalgia, and the idea of Christmas.

Synopsis: Charlotte and Eugene live a quiet, no-nonsense lifestyle surrounded by sudoku and argyle. Robert and Bella are boisterous and messy and ridiculously in love. Then there's the neighbor, Suzanne, who basically doesn't know what's going on, but definitely has something to say about it. Sure, relationships can be exciting! They can also be confusing, unexpected, and expose us to profound emotional risk. However, relationships are almost always worth exploring, and if we’re willing to be vulnerable, can fill up the empty or wounded spaces in our hearts.

And if that doesn’t work? Well, get a dog.
