We love the roar of the MCG, the ambience of St Kilda beach and the bustling uber cool of Brunswick... We also recognise there are social needs and challenges of the city that need attention...

🎨 Lost in the chaos of Hosier Lane and completely obsessed 🔥 Melbourne’s ultimate street art playground - a living, breathing, ever-evolving gallery tucked off Flinders Street. One visit it’s layered murals and bold political messages, the next it’s fresh paste-ups and wild installations. Nothing stays the same… and that’s the whole vibe ✨

These bluestone laneways started as gritty 19th-century service alleys (think horses, o***m dens, and secret brothels), then got forgotten… until the 90s when artists turned the walls into their canvas. Fast-forward to 2010 when the council accidentally painted over Banksy’s parachuting rat 🐀🎈 - the backlash basically crowned Hosier the official home of legal street art overnight.

Look for massive Rone girls staring down at you, Yomp’s insane pieces (yep, the dude who got arrested in a full Spider-Man suit 🕷️), thick layers of decades-old paint telling stories, stencils, paste-ups, and random Guerilla Kindness drops that make you smile. No permit needed, totally free, always changing.

It’s buzzing - live artists painting, wedding shoots, fashion kids, tourists from everywhere, and that perfect grunge-meets-gothic contrast with the Forum Theatre looming overhead 🏛️🖌️

Snap your pics, feel the energy, then hit MoVida for tapas or Culture Kings for the urban wear. This lane doesn’t just have art - it IS the art.

Make your first port of call for the ultimate dinner-and-a-show night out in Melbourne! 🥂✨

Last night proved exactly why: champagne & canapés flowing, followed by an unforgettable riverside feast at .southgate – that seafood spread and epic Porterhouse steak on a balmy evening was pure perfection 🦐🦪🥩, washed down with bubbles and epic cocktails 🍸

Then, just a short scenic stroll across to for the laugh-out-loud Much Ado About Nothing 🎭😂

Southgate truly is the perfect PRELUDE to any big night in the arts precinct – stunning Yarra views, world-class dining, and culture literally steps away 🌆💙

Festive soirée with the Australian Girls Choir ! A highlight to socialize at the Christmas soirée and to enjoy festive treats. Styling and decorations are next level! Thank you to and once again 🙏 We were blessed to hear carols by 🤩

Stepping into pie heaven at our Pie Masterclass with legends Ray Capaldi (globally acclaimed chef, consultant, and culinary innovator) and Head Baker George Callus 🥧🔥 Also hosted brilliantly by Emmy — the energy was unreal 👏✨

Kicked off with a sausage roll and coffee (the perfect start ☕️🥐) before diving into a hands-on masterclass where we made pastry, filled our pies, and soaked up years of baking wisdom.
Ray dropping gems all day:
“Look after your gut!!! Read labels!!”
“Recipes are a guide!”
“A good pie measure — you can ride a bike eating it!” 🚴‍♂️🥧

Loved the sparkling wine (or beer or Chardonnay if you prefer) break 🍾 and the generosity from Ray & George - not a stiff class at all, just stepping into real deal authentic inspiring and successful foodie culture. 💯
We even took home our own family pie, mash & gravy… plus George whipped up fresh apple turnovers for dessert 🍏✨

A quick factory tour, then up to the test kitchen and the space where Traderne will open next year - exciting times ahead 👀🔥

Some pie truths from Ray:
– Wonderpies = aim is best pie for the best price
– Most pies = 22% meat… Wonderpies = around 85% real meat, hand-made, labour-intensive, ethical, sustainable 🙌
– Corn-fed chicken is king (I will explore this)
– No butter in their commercial pies (as it can be rancid in 30 mins and not good after a reheat!)
– And don’t forget: Look after your gut! 💛

Such a generous, eye-opening, delicious masterclass. A Melbourne foodie must-do! 🙌🔥🥧

🍷✨ Looking for an extraordinary European bar and bistro in Melbourne? We enjoyed an exceptional dinner - a love letter to Europe 🍽️❤️

Walked in and instantly felt like I’d been transported to a sexy European brasserie in Paris or even the UK, using the best of Australian produce - with industry legends at the helm. Ben Clark and Simon Aukett (veterans who’ve run some of the continent’s most soulful destinations) have taken the old Maggie’s space, thrown open the doors, lightened the mood, and turned it into Melbourne’s most charming new neighbourhood haunt. ✨💯🔥

Elegant white cloth table dining, a long timber bar perfect for exceptional cocktails and even solo dinners, and that stunning courtyard… mamma mia, book it now for long lunches that accidentally become dinners.❤️

Then the food. The new Spring Summer menu is a showstopper. Chef Ryan (with legit Michelin pedigree) is cooking with pure joy: flawless chicken liver parfait on sourdough crostini, charred octopus gilda that made me close my eyes, and 98 Fruits de Mer featuring oysters, scallop ceviche, tiger prawns was a revelation.🎊🤩🙏

Mains impressed featuring spatchcock with salmoriglio that tastes like the Amalfi coast, and a grass-fed porterhouse with 98 peppercorn sauce so good I wanted to cry into my frites. ✨

The 98 Spritz and Pink Velvet cocktails are dangerous in the best way, and Aperitivo hour (daily!) is already legendary.🍸

This isn’t just trendy. This is timeless. Old-school generosity, proper service, prices that make you feel looked after, and a restaurant already full of regulars who know they’ve found their new home. Open 7 days, midday till late. Killer courtyard and a new exciting Aperitivo hour beckon.💯

Flinders St Station is one of the great train stations of the world! ✨🤩🚊In its 1920s heyday saw 300,000 passengers and 2,000 trains daily making it the world’s busiest station - busier than Grand Central in New York! Just imagine!! Today, it’s still the Southern Hemisphere’s largest and an iconic destination of our city. 🌆 How many times have you visited this amazing train station or met someone under the clocks on the steps?
