The mission of the festival is to continue the rich tradition of film as a mechanism for entertaining, educating and engaging audiences about pertinent social issues, using the theme of sports, bringing together lovers of film a
nd sports. Goals
◾The celebration of sport in films and providing the opportunity to showcase the work of up and coming and independent film-makers.
◾Community outreach with NGOS assisting disadvantaged youth to provide opportunities to screen student films and obtain valuable work experience through internships and volunteering.
◾Provide a truly interactive experience for the audience. Special Events

Gary Goodridge is a pioneer in the world of Mixed Martial Arts. Gary's achievements cement his position as one of the most diverse and respected fighters of his generation:1993 Canadian Amateur Super Heavyweight Boxing Champion; 9-time World Heavyweight Arm Wrestling Champion; 11-time Canadian Heavyweight Arm Wrestling Champion; 1996 UFC 8 Tournament runner-up; 1997 International ValeTudo Champion; 2000 Pride Grand Prix quarter-finalist; and 2005 k1 Grand prix in Hawaii Champion. Greg Oliver has run the SLAM! Wrestling website, (slam.ca) since 1996 and was co-honoured with the James C. Melby Award alongside his frequent writing partner Steve Johnson for their work. After six books about pro wrestling, Greg has moved into the hockey world. 'Don’t Call Me Goon', written with Richard Kamchen, hit the shelves in 2013, and two books came out in the fall of 2014, 'Written in Blue and White: The Toronto Maple Leafs Contracts and Historical
