EPISODE 28 IS OFFICIALLY LIVE!

Check out the newest episode of The Aerial Hour featuring the iconic, . During this episode, we chatted about how she got started, creating her famous instructional DVD's (do you have a copy??), opening The Chrome Bar - or reopening TCB, Miss Pole Dance America, and working in the entertainment industry.

Alethea is a genuinely kind soul and true artist. I was given the opportunity to come back and teach at TCB for an entire month . During this time, I got to hang with some of the TCB instructors, Alethea and their students. Fact: they're the best! All of them!

One of my favorite memories from this time was watching Alethea lovingly walk around the instructors jam session and fluff the curtains, or open the windows to let in the gorgeous sunlight, or mention where to place your camera for the best angle.

THINGS YOU MAY NOT KNOW ABOUT GMAIL: Delay “Undo Send” Periods

Did you know you can add up to 30 seconds of delay time to your emails? This is perfect for those of us who do our best proof reading... after hitting send 🤦🏻‍♀️🙋🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️.

⚙️Click the "Settings" gear in the top right
⚙️Select "See All Settings"
⚙️Find "Undo Send"
⚙️Change From 5 Seconds to 30 Seconds
⚙️Select "Save Settings"

📧Once the page reloads, compose a new email (as you normally would)
📧Add in the subject and body
📧I added in one of my most commonly misspelled words and hit "Send" without checking

✅Now, you have a full 30 seconds to select "Undo" and fix any mistake

BLOG DROP! And this week is all about Mah Pole Bag!

I often get asked how I decided what items to bring with me and which to downsize. When it came to Pole and Pole Gear - I put up a fight! It may be true that I have more pole heels with me than any other type of shoe and IDGAF about the space they take up .

So you might be wondering - what's in my pole bag? What did I keep? What are the essentials? What crucial things do I recommend to get you started on your pole journey? Where can you get them?

I am so thrilled to announce that I have answered these questions in The Aerial Hour's first official blog! This blog features a list of my favorite aerial finds and dance favorites that keep my body grooving, twisting, and turning just how I want it.

What's great is you can find most of them on Amazon! They are easy to use, accessible, and affordable.

HAVE YOU SEEN OUR SHOWNOTES?? They're pretty spectacular - if you ask me!

I hope you were able to catch up on Episode 5 featuring ! This human is full of passion, talent, and wit.

Realizing she might lose a community of dancers, friends, and inclusive spaces over her home studio closing down, she took this as an opportunity for movement and entrepreneurship. Now, she has three businesses and continues to grow!

05/04/2021

Remember Shay Williams from Episode 5? She's a dancer turned instructor turned business owner.

This week, we'll look back and delve into how 's ventures created an inclusive space for the dancing community, especially in Utah.

In this episode, beyond loving pole and killing competitions, we talked about how she came to own and handle multiple businesses - Kairos Fitness, Dew Point, and Pole Active.

There were multiple marketing ideas, city shows, and wonderful experiences. Then there were challenges and failures gracefully accepted and recovered from. Wonderful, right?

The Quick Story of The Aerial Hour

Hi! My name is Tara and I am the creator of The Aerial Hour. I have been part of the Aerial Community for 6 years with no end in sight! The Aerial Hour Podcast came from a desire to stay connected to my community while traveling... Yes, traveling. Where you ask? Well.. everywhere!

My husband & I are getting ready to hit the road FULL TIME to travel across the United States (and hopefully beyond) to create the life we want. While planning this great adventure, I knew I would need to find a way to stay connected to my community. My first thought was to go to studios across the country just taking classes, but this didn’t seem like enough. Next, I thought about how much I love this community and everything it has done for me. Then I thought about the skills I personally possess. I looked for opportunities to combine these two things in a way that would be helpful to our community. One day while listening to my favorite entrepreneur podcast, it dawned on me that this type of platform could really benefit the aerial community. I wondered, is this already a thing?? I started searching and found a couple of aerial podcasts but nothing specifically focused around businesses. I knew this was THE idea. As a virtual assistant, I was already helping to produce podcasts. And traveling the country, I would be able to access in-person interviews with Aerial Entrepreneurs across the country. So I started working...

And kept working and then worked some more.

Finally, in June 2019, I was ready to start recording. The Aerial Hour Podcast Launched September 2019 and has been producing episodes ever since. We have traveled to 22 states so far interviewing entrepreneurs along the way. We have both met and worked with incredible people and will continue doing so. This coming year (2021), we head west! Follow us along our journey!
