Is it a garden with a home or a home with a garden?
This mystery lies at the heart of the sprawling Lunuganga Estate in Sri Lanka. This is also what makes it so beatific and extraordinary. The Lunu (salt) – ganga (river) Estate was home to famous Sri Lankan architect, Geoffrey Bawa. The garden at the estate served as a creative matrix, inspiring him with new ideas. Bawa continued to alter and experiment with its spaces and structures until his death.
