June 27-28, 2022

MAFAR LDS- Organic Agriculture Sector, spearheaded by Senior Agriculturist Amer Hussien O. Razak, RA, in coordination with Brgy. Chairman Hon. Jamael Mauna, conducted a training course on "Goat Raising Production Technology" at Bgry. Talob, Balindong Lds

This activity is designed mainly to promote organic native goat production in order to provide nutritious food, and to make as a source of additional income to the small scale farmers.

Organically-produced livestock such as goat products are safer to consume than commercially produced ones. Mostly, if not all the commercial livestock and poultry products are being pumped with so much chemical medicines and preventive antibiotics. Raising organic livestock and poultry products is a promising profitable venture for farmers to engage in.

The following were the lecturers who gave inputs: Jamil Amer, Program Assistant; Basher Macaumbang, Program Assistant; Amer Magarang, Station Superitendent; and Engr. Fathma Sohra Dimaipung, Municipal Officer.

The 25 small scale farmers are from Brgy. Talob who actively participated in the said training.

Provincial Director Atty. Khalid Ansano, along with Chief Agriculturist Engr. AbdulGaphar Sansarona, Senior Agriculturist/facilitator Engr. Nassem Mindalano and MMO conveyed the support of the MAFAR LDS to push and extend necessary support to the Organic Farmers inorder to uplift their living condition.
