Turntable.fm is an engrossing online service for music discovery. The "It's all Connected" room is established with the goal of sharing great songs across the spectrum of roots music styles. Room "Guidelines":
We try to keep things informal, but we do keep a "DJ queue" for listeners who would like to line up for a turn at the DJ table. This is managed by our cybernetic room assistant, Automatic S
lim. To check the status of the DJ queue, chat "q?" and to join the list, chat "q+". Automatic Slim has many other commands, which can be listed by chatting "/commands". You can also send these commands to Automatic Slim via PM (private message)! In order to keep a rotation of fresh DJs, we generally go with a "two spins" limit when there are more than one or two DJs waiting in the queue. Hitting "Awesome" to support your fellow DJs is generally considered to be good form. If you're away from the keyboard (AFK) for more than 10 or 15 minutes, you may be gently escorted from your seat to give someone else a turn.
