When I first started playing drums I took a Latin Jazz/Afro Cuban class with my then drum mentor Pat Petrillo. He taught me the basic patterns of various cuban instruments including conga, bongo, cowbell and even some Brazilian instruments. I was later encouraged by some friends to play hand percussion mostly congas for acoustic gigs. Never could I have dreamed the journey this skill would take me on. My playing even made it to an ESPN show playing with a rock band! Although I am a Drummer/Music Producer at heart, the joy that comes with playing live percussion is undeniably as exciting as everything else I do!

What multiple talents do you possess that has caught you by surprise over the years? How do you enjoy them?

In 2024 it looks like I'll be playing a lot more percussion than in the recent years, stay tuned if you wanna join the fun! I hope to see you around!

What up facebook landia! I'm back!

I hope you all been behaving. I've have been restricting my fb interaction since the start of the year and it feels amazing! I even took the app off my phone. Which will remain that way unless I plan to travel. This month has been very productive, learning to cultivate a deeper relationship with God, myself, my wife, my music. It has been an interesting journey that will continue. I have a ton of happenings that I will share with you soon so let's catch up. What are you up to?

It took over a year of hard work and prayers but the day is finally here to say “Let The Projects Begin!” A special thanks to all of you who believe in me and send work my way.
