Ingrid Andress -- of Highlands Ranch, CO -- is receiving harsh criticism for her rendition of the National Anthem during the MLB Home Run Derby. She recently posted on her Instagram that she was drunk during her performance and is checking into rehab.
I hope she gets the support & care she needs.
Andress kicked off the festivities Monday at Globe Life Field

.Kelly Werthmann and I are going to make an art project today.
The former president was injured during an assassination attempt at a rally in Pennsylvania earlier today. CBS News has confirmed Mr. Trump has since left the hospital -- two other people are dead, including the gunman.
"I knew immediately that something was wrong in that I heard a whizzing sound, shots, and immediately felt the bullet ripping through the skin," former President Trump wrote.
The cutest swearing-in ceremony I ever did see!! Dare I say, it's doggone paw-sitively adorable! 🥹🐾😄
Happy Monday! What’s good in your world today?
Well here’s something you don’t see every day, especially in Colorado. 🐢
⚾️⛳️ SPORTSBALL WITH KELLY ⚽️🏒
For the first time since Super Bowl 50 (‼️), yours truly filled in on the sports desk tonight. And, since I didn’t say “Boom goes the dynamite” (IYKYK), I’m pinch hitting again for *Saturday Sports Extra* after CBS Colorado at 10!
Hope you’ll join me as I tackle news AND sports… I’ll leave weather to the chief himself, Meteorologist Dave Aguilera 😜 And I **PROMISE** Romi Bean & Rod Mackey will be back asap!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
If our smiles don’t say it clearly, I had *so much fun* with Denver Police Sgt. Justin Dodge and legendary former Denver Nuggets performance coach Steve Hess today! 😁
Hess has been a vital part of Dodge’s rehab since he had part of leg amputated after he was pinned beneath a firetruck during the Nuggets championship parade last summer. These two have an incredible bond! 💪🏼 You’ll get a taste of it tonight on on CBS Colorado at 5…
But to see more of Justin’s journey of recovery and his return to duty, check out a docuseries that premiers on PBS12 this week. It’s called “Project Kaboom” and I can’t wait to see it! 💥💥💥
Kati Weis has been covering the issue of PFAs -- or "forever chemicals" -- for years and her latest report is gaining national attention. Check it out ⬇️⬇️⬇️
The new law will affect all kinds of things Coloradans buy and use every day, that are made using something called per- and poly-fluoroalkyl substances, or PFAS.
The issue of stolen vehicles is nothing new in Colorado… but this truck thief hit a new low taking this priceless pickup. Now, a young man isn’t just grieving the loss of his fallen firefighter father — who died in the line of duty — he’s desperately searching for this treasured truck.
"One of the last times I saw him, I drove that home with him… and he said he's proud of me. And that's the last thing I've heard out of him.”
Colton Smith has always wanted to be a firefighter because his dad, Stephen Smith, was a firefighter with the West Douglas County Fire Protection District for 23 years.
Happy Summer! 😂
Tale as old as time! Summer officially arrives at 2:51 p.m. today, but we're waking up to fresh snow on top of Pikes Peak! ❄️❄️❄️
New studio, same me ✨
Did you watch CBS Colorado on “New Studio Debut Day”? I gotta tell ya, this set is incredible! Kudos to all our engineers and tech crew for making it happen. 🙌🏼

This is too good not to share 😂
💜 JOIN MY TEAM! 💜 WEAR PURPLE FOR ABBY! 💜
As you all may already know, my sweet & fabulous sister, Abby, lives with drug-resistant epilepsy. She had brain surgery last fall, and is doing better...yet is still on a tough road & has numerous seizures every day. Abby is genuinely the strongest young woman I know and I am inspired by her perseverance & positivity!
Thankfully, there are organizations like the Epilepsy Foundation of Colorado & Wyoming that do incredible work to raise awareness and funding for a cure. Coming up next Sunday in Denver is one of their biggest fundraising events: Walk to END EPILEPSY! I am happily taking part this year and would *love* for you to join my team... for free! All I ask is you donate what you can to support the amazing foundation which helps families like mine & other epilepsy warriors across CO & WY. Whether or not you can participate in the walk, please use the link below to donate...and, of course, please ! ☺️

When Hannah Waddingham grabs your phone to take a selfie, you don’t say no! 💫😍🤳🏼
It was an absolute privilege & true joy to join Denver Film in honoring Hannah with the 2024 Barbara Bridges Inspiration Award today. Without a doubt, Hannah inspires so many people around the world…and I am so very, very grateful I got to share with her why she inspires me, particularly in her role on Ted Lasso. Sharing time with this incredibly beautiful, authentic, genuine, humble and hilarious woman backstage — and our one-on-one discussion at the Denver Art Museum — is a moment I’ll forever cherish.
Thank you, Hannah, for all you are and all you give to this world. And, from the bottom of my heart, thank you for encouraging me to share my story & being so wonderfully supportive. Onward! 🫶🏻🧡
Horsin’ around on the job today! 🐴😘
Today marks 1️⃣2️⃣ years at CBS Colorado! I’ve now spent a third of my life here — crazy!! 😮
Thank you, Colorado, for trusting me to share your stories. And, thank you CBS News/Paramount for allowing me to do so alongside some of the greatest journalists around! 📺🎤🎥
CONFIRMED: I’m my mom’s favorite. 😉
Wishing my mama and all the wonderful moms, mothers-to-be, and mommy-hopefuls a beautiful & happy Mother’s Day! 💐🩷
It’s hard to find the words as we grieve the loss of such a remarkable man & legendary journalist. Rick wasn’t just my colleague & cubicle neighbor, he was my friend. This is a profound loss in many ways, but Rick’s legacy will live on… I miss him dearly.
From power outages to interstate closures, uprooted trees and large metal signs blown over -- the wind today is really causing some damage in Colorado. It's so windy, even Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre cancelled tonight's concert!
Meteorologist Joe Ruch is headed to where the winds are really whipping... join us First at 4 on CBS Colorado for the latest conditions, and when those winds will finally calm down.
A little joy for your feed this Monday morning ☺️🦒
This is a clip of a video that's been making rounds on social media -- have you seen it? It shows Denver officers arresting a hot dog vendor outside of Ball Arena after a Nuggets game last week. Many people have questioned why the vendor was taken into custody, saying there are bigger crimes worth investigating... sharing all kinds of hot takes on the hot dog debacle.
Despite what's heard in this clip (**language warning**), DPD confirmed this was not an undercover sting operation, rather a joint effort with other city agencies cracking down on unlicensed food vendors who are in violation of health & safety rules. Tonight on CBS Colorado at 10, Jasmine Arenas explains why you may want to rethink buying one of those "fresh franks" to begin with, and what some other vendors are saying about the crackdown.

Your favorite weekend peeps (old & new) wishing you a very Hoppy Easter! 🐰🐣🌷 Meteorologist Dave Aguilera Meteorologist Joe Ruch CBS Colorado CBS Colorado
A WALK TO REMEMBER :: Last summer, Sgt. Justin Dodge was pinned beneath a fire truck during the Denver Nuggets championship parade. He endured 8 surgeries, including one to amputate part of his left leg. Not even 8 months later, Justin is back on his feet — and is a walking, smiling & *thriving inspiration*! I am beyond honored & grateful to have shared this walk with Justin today, learning about his incredible determination & the power of mindset. He also shared why he believes losing his leg actually gave him new purpose. It’s a story I’m excited to share on CBS Colorado this weekend. More details to come!
When you lose your voice right before the late news… Thanks to my amazing team for helping me power through the show tonight! 🤦🏼♀️🍵Meteorologist Dave Aguilera & Eric Christensen, thanks for being on standby to fill in.😬😉
To all who’ve asked about my sister following her brain surgery last month, Abby has a sweet message for you…especially those who answered the call to #WearPurpleForAbby 💜💜 Abby recorded this video earlier this week. While she was doing well then, today was an extremely difficult day as she suffered a grand mal seizure at school & was taken by ambulance to the ER. Thankfully, she’s now resting at home and is VERY much looking forward to having her RNS device (which was implanted during her surgery) turned on **tomorrow!** 🙌🏼 It is her and our entire family’s sincere hope that will finally prevent, or at least significantly reduce, her daily seizures. 🙏🏼 Tomorrow, I’ll be wearing purple again. Feel free to join me, and always know I’m beyond grateful for your love & support! 💜🫶🏻
When Meteorologist Dave Aguilera's "oops" turns into an opportunity to share an important message. 🤣
Happy June, y’all! 🔆 Here’s a little something to brighten up the gloomy start to the day — Mama Moose & her twins captured on Jeff Steck’s doorbell cam in Steamboat Springs! 😍😍😍
A sad update from Westminster PD -- a cadaver dog detected human remains at the site of the overnight home explosion. No name released yet, but it confirms what neighbors feared. This doorbell video, courtesy of Blaine Leishman, shows the powerful blast that leveled the home across the street and damaged two others, along with several cars. Coming up on CBS Denver at 5 & 6, what one neighbor believes caused the deadly explosion.
