My fathers words will always linger in my head. “Take your time and draw what you see.” While it might be pretty vague and simple advice, but I cannot overstate how important patience is. Patience is going to be your best friend when it comes to creating something beautiful. We all have that strong urge to finish quickly and move on to the next drawing. After all the more things you create the better you get right? Not exactly… In 4 years I’ve only create maybe 10 pieces. RESIST that powerful urge to finish your drawing quickly. That urge becomes much stronger when you’re close to finishing. This is when discipline comes into play. When you try your best to take your time you’ll start to notice more about your work. The moment I started to take my time is the day I saw incredible improvement. Fall deep into the process and observe what it is that you’re actually doing. LEARN from your mistakes and watch how others use the technique you are trying to implement. Lastly, try and CHALLENGE yourself with each piece you create, the more you step into something you’re unfamiliar with the higher your potential to grow will be. APPLY what you’ve learned from your previous drawing. And always remember to be patient with yourself and the process. I’m a firm believer that patience is a key to being mentally strong and having more happiness in your life. While today because our attention is constantly being competed for, learning and building patience seems to becoming harder. I may not be able to do these things everyday but these are some of the tools I’ve used to help build my own patience. 1. MEDITATION 🧘🏽‍♂️ Meditation is a good way to practice being present, it helps you to override the impulse to have something to do and helps you connect to your deeper consciousness. Recently I like to practice waking meditations. 2. Cleaning🧹 Having a clean home leaves you more room to focus on things that actually matter to you. And alleviates you mind from feeling guilty. Plus it keeps your wife or partner happy🤣 3. Reading 📚 Learning new topics keeps your mind engaged and challenges you to help you feel like you’re moving forward in life. The task of completing a book is a good message to your subconscious that tells you there are other ways to have fun. 4. Nothing My personal favorite, don’t get this twisted with meditation. It’s literally sitting there and doing nothing. No phone, no tv, no stimulation besides you and your imagination. This gives your brain a break from all over stimulating things we use to pass time. Probably the hardest of them all. 5. Hobbies🥰 Hobbies help bring more fulfillment in your life. They make you feel good to create or do something. The process of getting better at something new is so healthy for your mind and truly does bring about more happiness. #happiness #patience #mentality #MentalHealth #growth #motivation

I wanted to give all of you a small moment to think about a fond memory of yours. For me it was the feeling of evolving my Charmander for the first time. The hype was REAL! When you see my work, the word patience might come to mind. It’s a skill that was cultivated over a long period of time. And it wasn’t until I started drawing this piece that I realized how far back I’ve been using it. It start with grinding, grinding my Pokémon to level 100, trying to complete my Pokédex. Getting stuck in the cave without flash and having to find my own way out. What it seems I have done is taken my ability to grind video games and used that energy to make something beautiful. Take that people who told me video games were a waste of time😜 To all the fans out there, I hope your childhood was just as fun as mine. Hand finishing one of the 8 limited prints My mind has had a brilliant idea recently. I want my work to give people more hope in their own ability. But thats not as simple as drawing a picture. I have the idea and now I wonder what can i draw that will say what I want to say?

If you knew that your hands were capable of doing anything what would you go on to make? While your mind is capable of seeing infinite possibilities, it is your hands that bring them to reality. I’m on a life long journey to see what else my hands will be able to make. Motivation can only light the flame of passion, but only discipline can keep it burning. One of the main themes of Dragonball is discipline and practice. When Goku sets out to be the best, he does everything he can day in and day out to make it so. This drawing style helped me to build discipline. We live in a time that everything you could ask for is served right away. Of course then, we find it hard to focus.
