Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor (BDNF), is a vital molecule for the growth and well-being of brain cells.
When we overindulge in junk food, it disrupts the delicate chemical balance within our brain. In particular, it negatively affects the production of BDNF in the hippocampus. BDNF serves as a guardian, nurturing the growth, development, and survival of our brain cells.
The consumption of junk food leads to a reduction in BDNF production, weakening the hippocampus. As a result, the brainâs capacity to create new memories and regulate emotions is compromised.

Having walked alongside family who have had cancer, it struck me how few alternatives are suggested or discussed by their treating doctors.
Iâve heard countless testimonials like this about alternative treatments that have been effective. Apricot kernels, CBD oil, redox molecules, and Turkey tail mushrooms to name just a few.
Iâd never recommend any specific treatment to anyone, every situation and every person is different. But so often the only options given to people is radiation and/or chemotherapy.

We didnât know what we didnât know. It was such a routine process and I never thought to really question it.
I didnât even think to ask what was in the injections they gave her, I just blindly trusted that it was the right thing to do.
There was no information given about potential long term effects and the positives and negatives by any of the health professionals we saw. And no one in our circle of friends was talking about it.
As parents who want to do the best we can for our familyâs health, I get really upset when I think about this and itâs taken a huge amount of courage to share this because I know how emotionally charged this topic is.
Iâm grateful our daughter is a healthy and active 5 year old. But Iâll never know how the 19 shots she had up until the age of 2 have impacted her little body. Itâs unlikely sheâll have any more and weâll be investigating any new innovations very carefully.
I donât share this in judgment of anyone or as advice to anyone.
I share this because I wish someone had shared it with us so we could ask questions and do some research to make a fully informed decision about our daughterâs health.
