Four years can seem like a long time, but the truth is if you don't pay attention, it will be gone in a moment.
The last few years have seemed overwhelming with health issues, COVID, and all the other issues that come with growing and learning, not just for our children but also for ourselves.
But yesterday, we hit another milestone as graduated from college. Knowing what she went through to get to this point yesterday makes me even more proud of her.
Now on to the next chapter.
On a side note, how the hell did my beard get so gray?!? 😂

I have 3 fantastic opportunities in front of me, but sadly, I have allowed one person to ruin me. Because of this person, I have lost my motivation and my passion.
What do I do? Do I push myself? How do I shake this off?

I don't usually post full-body shots, and most likely, this will be deleted, but here is the deal.
One year ago, my was out of control; my liver enzymes were high (I have ), and my cholesterol was totally upside down.
I read an interview with Chris Pratt () where he said he went from Parks and Recs to Guardians of the Galaxy by walking. And I thought to myself, “I can do that.”
One year ago today, I got off the couch and walked around the block. A few days later, I walked around the block twice. And so and so. When the weather got bad, I went to the gym and started using the treadmill. I just kept pushing.
Today, thanks to my doctor and her medical care and lots of hard work, my A1C, liver enzymes, and cholesterol (for the first time in 25 years) are almost normal.
And before you throw jealousy/hasad my way, know that there was a lot of self-abuse, both mental and physical, and lots of Advil. And the vest I am wearing is my “albatross around the neck,” it is equal to the weight I have lost, so I don't forget.
