Hoodzie
Starting off as an MC, at the early age of 13, Hoodzie (known then as MC Victim) found himself on one of the biggest Pirate radio stations in London FreezeFM. Whilst MC’ing through various genre Hoodzie became more interested in the engineering side of music and started to create his own tracks using his Playstation. With standard EQ’s and limited sounds Hoodzie self-taught himself how to structure music in all types of genres. In 2001 Hoodzie left school to pursue his dream of being heavily involved in music (Stay in school kids!). The Princes Trust offered him the chance to learn more about producing music using Reason. This gave him the opportunity to pull away from a standard music game and learn the basics of some kind of professional music software. A cheap computer was bought and Reason installed so now was the time for him to increase his experience and knowledge. Creating his own sounds from his bedroom Hoodzie gained more and more experience by reading up on the internet and listening to all different types of genres and trying to copy the sounds and layouts. After being so involved with the urban side of music Hoodzie was then introduced to Happy Hardcore by some school friends, Something completely different to anything he had listened to and he was soon to fall in love with the music and the scene that surrounded it. After listening to Hardcore artists such as Sy, Force & Styles, Breeze, Seduction etc Hoodzie decided to pursue his dream as a DJ/Producer. After years of producing with friends from school Hoodzie and his close friend Steve (Undefined) focussed on getting the kind of sound that was created in 2001 in Hardcore to soon be known as UK Hardcore. By 2007 Hoodzie & Undefined managed to engineer 2 tracks with a vocalist they had met online ( Marie Louise) with Hoodzie travelling up to Birmingham from London to get in a studio with Marie Louise they managed to get 2 tracks finished and sent them off to all the major labels within the Hardcore scene. DJ Force who owned UK Dance at the time grabbed both the tracks for the label and gave Hoodzie & Undefined there first vinyl release which included a remix from Sy & Unknown. Both tracks ‘Fly With Me’ & ‘Journey’ were featured on an album named ‘Hard, Fast and Furious’ and the Sy & Unknown remix featured on ‘True Hardcore’. Going separate ways in 2008 Hoodzie carried on spending all his time in the studio and created his own label ‘Tryed N Tested’ with the aim to try and help immerging artists push into the scene. Under his Tryed N Tested label Hoodzie also created Ravers Addition, a free downloadable album, featuring the new talent signed to his label and others. Hitting well over 3000 download over all 6 albums Hoodzie carries on this free album for the pure love of the Hardcore scene. Hoodzie has now had the support from the likes of Sy, Kutski and Billy Bunter and recently has had tracks signed to Future World. In addition Hoodzie has recently signed MC Steal, MC Echo and DJ Dan C with the aim for them to grow as a label and to hit the main stage at all major events up and down the country. A new dream to be accomplished and to be pursued with the determination Hoodzie is becoming well known for. MC/Producer
Echo
Back in 2004 Echo went to his first main event (slammin vinly) in milton keynes, and was totally mesmerised by the mc's and the way the were working the stage. He went away from that rave wanting to be an mc, so the next day he put on some of his favorite tracks picked up a pen and pad and started writing what ever come into his head. After a year or two of writing lyrics and working with dj's in his home town he was offered a set at his local event (bouncin beats) from that nigt he was given a residence and regularly perfomed there every month. During this time Echo had a slot on midlands rush radio where he done the come down set every sunday. Echo then went on to bigger and better things with bookings up and down the country religiously every weekend performing at some of the biggest local events known to ravers. Winning competitions and gaining respect from promoters and most importaintly the ravers. Recently winning the ravers got talent compotitions where he performed main stage at raver reunited. After mc-ing for many years Echo then decided to have ago at the producing side of hardcore, so around 2009 after performing at events he would get home and sit in front of his pc for hours trying to get his head round making a track. At the end of 2010 Echo's tracks started getting noticed and other producers and dj's began to give him good feedback on his work, having some of his tracks signed to up and coming labels. So continuing to write ryhmes and tracks he is now a member of the rising label Tryed N Tested where as a collective they will all with out a doubt grow and become well known to dancefloors around the uk!!!! http://soundcloud.com/mc-echo-tryed-n-tested
MC
Steal
Having listened to hardcore from an early age, it was when he started attending raves that he realised he belonged on the stage with a mic in his hand hyping the crowd! Honing his skills in his front room he quickly got hid first break into the UK Hardcore scene with a regular slot on the Salford Seshments Show on www.kraftyradio.com alongside the shows hosts DJ Jimmy Hypa and MC Twist. After a couple of years on the show, Steal, along with fellow Seshments Dan C and good friend DJ Penfold decided to start up their own weekly slot on www.hcore.fm. Strictly Hardcore was born and fast became one of the most popular shows on the site. Steal's name got around and the bookings started to come rolling in, and he soon won his first residency in a competition for X-treme Energy Events hosting pre-party's for the major events. It wasn't long though before the main stage came calling in the form of Ravers Reunited, where he won the Ravers Got Talent comp for a set at The Hardcore Face Off, Hardcore Evolution and Manchester's legendary Totally Lost It. Now a main stage regular Steal is gaining support from the very top with headline MC Enemy taking him under his wing, and Mc's Storm, Wotsee & Keyes all offering helpful advice to this rising star! With a talent for writing lyrics that will blow your mind and a style of delivery that will leave you hanging on to every word, Steal is only destined for one place..... the Top!! Now teaming up with Tryed N Tested owner DJ Hoodzie here's just a small taste of the future....
