... and even the 2nd women motorcycle tour is ended
The girls headed Galle after a long journey through the center of the country and the east coast

They crossed the heart of the rainforests, reached almost 3000m in altitude, faced muddy hairpin turns, rain, leeches, and bumpy roads

They explored ancient fortresses, hugged the coastline, and traversed endless expanses of green rice fields, dodging cows, monitor lizards and elephants

And now, they already feel nostalgic for this thrilling adventure

Especially in the most challenging moments, the desire to push themselves and their tenacity gave them strength and an extra incentive to embrace the challenge

The passion for two wheels overcomes any hesitation and insecurity

We are so thrilled about this wonderful adventure that we will miss you, and we can’t wait to see you on board for another extreme tour!

Today is the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women and we'd like to take the opportunity to make an announcement.

has been touring around Sri Lanka with 2 groups of Italian women that got in touch with Mihiri Gedara, a charity that houses 20 underage girls who are victims of abuse. They are in need of our support.

To raise awareness and funds, The Shack will host a live music event with the performer Erika Capobianco and as a special guest and host, Mrs. Sri Lanka World, Lakshani Abeysinghe.

Join us for a fantastic evening and donate to this very special charity.

Entrance Fee: Rs.2000 - Total proceeds will be donated to Mihiri Gedara.

From Galle to Kandy, passing through Uda Walawe, Ella, and Nuwara Eliya, these fearless women have navigated through rainforests and national parks, encountered elephants, and explored ancient and significant Buddhist temples.

The first day was the most challenging: relentless and torrential rain caused massive landslides and river overflow everywhere, putting the ladies to a tought test and turning the journey into an extreme adventure. However, with sheer tenacity and a determination to embrace the challenge, every difficulty was overcome.

In the following days, the sun bathed the lush greenery, treating us to breathtaking views.

After a day of relax in Kandy, we are ready to start the second half of our journey.

We left 10 days ago for the Roby Tour with Morocco as our destination

We crossed Spain 🇪🇸 and then passed through the Strait of Gibraltar, covering over 3000 km

We crossed the Atlas Mountains, the Sahara Desert, all the way to Marrakech

We encountered incredible, lunar, and desert landscapes, as well as a welcoming population that greeted our group of about 60 motorcycles with smiles and enthusiasm

Anyone in need of an adventure?✌️

It’s about to get exciting…

In the next 10 days we will be embarking in three adventures almost simultaneously, riding in the high Himalayas and the Ancient Kingdoms & the North of Sri Lanka.

It’s been a long time since we rode on the roof of the world while it will be the first time that we will be adventuring into the less touristy parts of Sri Lanka, the north.

But the thrill doesn’t end there.

September will be seeing us roaming between the Mongolian steppe and the Gobi Desert following nomadic trails and soon after that, in October, the adventures will continue in the land of the dragon people, Bhutan, followed by the once forbidden Kingdom of Mustang in Nepal.

But for true motorcycling enthusiasts, this is what makes the journey worth it.

And the views? Simply breathtaking. The Himalayan foothills stretch out before you, with snow-capped peaks and lush forests at every turn. 🌄

We need your help! 🙏🐝

After riding more than 20,000 miles around the world from Europe and North Africa to South America we are now over halfway through our journey around the world and the time has now come to start planning the next stage of our adventure.

We have conquered the logistics of shipping from Senegal to Brazil and crossing the Darien Gap from Colombia to Panama during this trip but we are now faced with our biggest challenge, getting our motorcycle from North America to Asia for the final ride home. This is where we need your help!

After contacting many companies and agents we have concluded that the price tag for us to ship our beloved Bumblebee across the pacific to Asia (and fly ourselves) is a whopping £6000!

The budget for our trip is entirely self-supported from savings and donations, we do not have funding from any sponsors or companies and so as you can imagine, this is a large sum of money to add to an already VERY over-budget trip (our first shipping cost us over £4000!).

We are asking for anything you can give to help us to complete this final piece of the puzzle and make it back home!
