The Shoppes at Farmington Valley are getting another new dining option...Ramen & Bao is coming soon!
Ramen & Bao is an Asian bistro loved at their Oxford Quarry Walk location and they’re just getting started. They’re the sister concept to Tomo 202, a standout sushi spot in Brookfield, and Tomo 68, a sushi and Thai house in Naugatuck. Come Spring 2026, they’ll be opening another Ramen & Bao in Cheshire. These guys are on fire!
Stay tuned for updates on their opening timeline and where they’ll land in the Shoppes.
Until then, let’s get excited...this is one seriously well-seasoned addition to Farmington Valley’s dining scene!

🚨SCOOP ALERT🚨
If you remember, we shared back in mid-August that Hammer & Nails, a luxury men’s grooming salon, is headed to Avon in late 2025/early 2026. Well… we now know exactly where they’re landing!
They’re set to take over the space formerly home to Liquor Ox in Avon Village Center.
This will be Connecticut's sixth location and first outside Fairfield County.
Their website says it best: Hammer & Nails brings the full men’s grooming experience...fresh cuts, skincare, shaves, beard grooming, hand/foot care, and more.

1️⃣ Paris Baguette's sign is up and they are hiring...while they still haven't announced an opening date for their 1479 New Britain Ave, WEST HARTFORD location...all things are leading us to believe it's right around the corner.

2️⃣ Saks OFF 5th at 1437 New Britain Ave in WEST HARTFORD has announced they will be closing in January 2026.

3️⃣ The popular Green Tea Asian Kitchen in FARMINGTON has reopened at a new location. You can now find them at 979 Farmington Ave, Farmington.

4️⃣ Hannoush Jewelers will be leaving West Farms after over 40 years and relocating down the road to 1599 Southeast Road in FARMINGTON. The move is expected to take place late summer 2026.

The FARMINGTON Barnes and Noble location at 1599 South East Rd is NOT closing per a sign on their doors.

While their building is up for lease, they will remain at their current location through the end of the year.

Early next year, the plan is to move to a new location within a mile of their current location.

Big Y has announced plans to open a new store location in FARMINGTON at the Westfarms Mall.
A brand new store will be constructed on the southern side of the Westfarms property.
The store will be roughly 53,000 square feet, and according to the press release is slated to open in the spring of 2027.
Big Y is independently-owned, and has supermarket locations throughout Connecticut and Massachusetts.

A bittersweet update from one of Canton’s longtime favorites, Applegate Farm Market. Their building has been sold and their lease will end at the close of this year.

Don’t worry…they will remain open through November 30 (closed Thanksgiving and Black Friday), so there’s still time to grab your favorite pies, cider donuts, and all the goodies we love.

The good news? Applegate Farms has a plan in the works for a new chapter (and yes, their famous apple cider donuts and CSA program will definitely be part of it!).

Stay tuned for what’s next. In the meantime, stop by to show your support and stock up one more time.
