It caters scientific articles from environment sector. It provides an opportunity to all budding and young scientist to publish their research. It is circulated through research organizations like NEERI, IITs, IIMs, SPCBs, CPCB, MoEF, selected environmental consultancies, NGOs, colleges, industries, environmental equipment suppliers, manufacturers etc. Eco-Quest is trying to bridge the gap between
Government, industries, students as well as common man. It has different section like news, papers, articles, general comments, reader feedback, etc. It is also being observed that most of the Indian researchers are publishing their work in international journals. Hence, recent Indian research which is accepted by international journal would be highlighted in a special column named “current research”. This would be useful for Indian researchers and budding scientist to evaluate their progress and also enhance their knowledge. Also this magazine would have details of upcoming environmental events, both national and international. Important environmental days would also be highlighted through this magazine. There was a magazine named “Earth Quest”. It was operated by Surya Prakashan - A unit of Seacom Project limited. It was a monthly magazine and was dealing with environmental awareness program. Recently, management of Seacom Projects is unable to continue with this magazine. Hence, Environment Policy and Research India (EPRI) have decided to operate this magazine by the name of “Eco-Quest”. Eco-Quest would retain the existing editorial board members of Earth Quest. Current editorial board consists of experts from BARC, CPCB and NEERI. It would also include some more editorial board members from field of environment. Thus a new look editorial board would be formed for Eco-Quest. Through this magazine, we would be encouraging scientific writing at student level. We would be also providing a platform for budding scientist to publish their work in paper section of the magazine. Also government could express their views on the environment and also they could make the people aware and educate about their initiatives.
