With our annual submission period for WolfSinger Publications now closed - I have 27 book submissions to review.

With 12 books released in 2025 - I still have 7 that were hopeful for 2024 that I need to get ready and out plus 10 that are on the books for 2025 (I suspect a few will have to be pushed to 2026)

Any books accepted from the current crop will be planned for 2027/28 to give me some breathing room.

Now to get the next issue of The Lorelei Signal set up / get edits on a book back to the author / get started on edits for Midnight Menagerie stories and update the Spirit of the Wolf submissions page.

Well I did a thing and submitted an application to be a vendor at SoonerCon in June. We'll see if I get in.

Looking at the stories accepted for Midnight Menagerie and trying to determine the order. I'm currently thinking about opening with the stories that are set fully as part of a circus or carnival as the first part of the book and then the stories that aren't art of a circus or carnival but feature a creature from the menagerie as the next section.

Although, the last story will go back to the circus.

Most of the stories are in the 1000-3000 word range with only a handful over 4000 (two are at 5300). So some quick reads.

I am also thinking about having a short intro on some of the creature focused stories - kinda like the ringmaster telling the story of that creature - but haven't decided as it may not be something needed for all of the stories and not sure if it would be appropriate to do it for only some and not all. Will see how things go during edits.

Final reviews completed for Midnight Menagerie submissions.

I have a total of 28 stories that will be in the Anthology. Approximately 70k words (received a large number of lower word count stories)

Will be a mix of Fantasy / SF / with some Horror thrown in.

Will be getting the final rejections out today and hope to get contracts out either today or tomorrow.

3rd Reviews completed on Midnight Menagerie submissions. I have 20 stories in my acceptation folder - I have 11 that I want to look at again to see if they fit in with the ones that am definitely accepting - especially since the total word count is less than 60k at this point.

Also contracts have gone out for stories accepted for the April 2025 issue of The Lorelei Signal.

Still working on 3rd reads for Midnight Menagerie Submissions - currently have 21 stories left to review and 16 in my potential TOC folder.

No 3rd read rejections have been sent out yet - will send once I finish the reviews.

Third reads completed for The Lorelei Signal - all rejections have been sent out - acceptances and contracts will go out this evening or tomorrow.

Now back to Midnight Menagerie submissions.

Didn't get a chance to update the submissions page, but I have another 22 stories in my email. That makes a total of 207 received for Midnight Menagerie. Will dive into the submissions after we get back home. Please be patient.
