These race horses can talk, race riderless, and manage their own careers thanks to genetic manipulation in the past intended to make Thoroughbreds hardier. But living free doesn't mean living without problems of the career and family (both blood and found) kind. Nor does it mean they are free from having to interact with humans.

In this mosaic novel, stories of two very different stallions and their friends and families (both four legged and two) interconnect to explore how these horses deal with career decisions, love, family, retirement, illness, and having to find alternate paths when flat racing does not prove a profitable or fulfilling life choice.

Not all roads lead to the winner's circle, and even when they do, winning doesn't always equal happiness without someone to share it with.

The stories explore themes such as friendships, loyalty, parents (both present and absent), resilience, taking risks, love, the place of humans in this new racing world, rivals working together to help a friend, tragedy and counseling, and many others.

Midnight Menagerie

Step right up, dear traveler—your ticket to the extraordinary awaits.

Beneath the striped canopies of the Midnight Menagerie, wonders stir and nightmares awaken. Strongmen flex their might, fortune tellers spin futures, and acrobats defy the stars. But if it is shadows you seek—if you are drawn to the hush of velvet-draped corners where the line between spectacle and sorcery blurs—then step closer.

Here, within these pages, beasts from beyond the veil prowl in cages not quite strong enough. Carnival performers barter in secrets instead of silver. Mystics weave illusions that refuse to fade, and every whispered promise carries a cost. From the neon glow of alien menageries to the flickering lantern light of haunted carnivals, Midnight Menagerie is a collection of the eerie, the wondrous, and the strange.

So take your seat, dear reader. The lights are dimming, the curtains are rising… and the show is about to begin.

Featuring stories from: Fin Patiliu, Annie Percik, Harriet Pheonix, Robert Miller, Chris Clemens, Caitlin Barbera, Petina Strohmer, Deby Fredericks,

E. Florian Gludovacz, DJ Tyrer, Emily A. Grigsby, Tim Newton Anderson, Carol Hightshoe, A.J. Malachite, Stephen W. Two books sent to authors for proof review in the last week - Blue Grass Dreams Aren't for Free by Gerri Leen and the Midnight Menagerie Anthology.

Hear back from Gerri with her review - so should be getting that one finalized for a April 28th release - the Monday before the Kentucky Derby - yes the stories in this collection are about horses and horse racing.

Midnight Menagerie will be looking at an April 22th release date.

More information coming for both books.

I've also started editing on TTupak - need to get the remaining 2024 books done. Also need to finish reviewing the books that came during the last submission period.

03/03/2025

Still need to finish up artist royalties - but other than those royalties have been sent out.

02/03/2025

Spent today sending out royalty statements and payments. Still have the statements for the various anthologies - will work on getting those out tomorrow.

I did get the charity anthologies done and am pleased to report that our latest charity anthology generated over $650.00 for the Justin Cowboy Crisis Fund.

Thank you to all the wonderful authors who are a part of this anthology and to all of you have picked up a copy. If you haven't picked up you copy yet - why haven't you?

I'm going to have to send out a contract addendum. Looking at the library channels on Draft2Digital I'm basically getting less than 10% of cover for any books that are on a pay per checkout model (and I'm paying 40% of cover in regular royalties) so will be looking at tracking those sales separately and offering authors 5% of ebook cover for those.

I spoke to one of my authors who currently has checkouts of their books and they agreed that a different system was probably the best way to do this with a contract addendum sent out to all authors. Authors will also have the option to pull their book from library distribution.

Unless you currently have library checkouts for the 2nd half of 2024 I will probably be getting those addendums out over the next few weeks.

Had one of my frequent anthology contributors contact me about designating the WolfSinger charity for disaster relief.

So am reaching out the FB hive for suggestions regarding a specific agency to designate as the recipient of the proceeds in regards to to future anthology.

The current open call is for Mission Wolf in Colorado and I will probably add another regular anthology to the call schedule and then this one for ...

So suggestions on agencies and groups you wonderful folks are familiar with that could use a few extra dollars to help them with their mission to help others in times of disaster.
