DEADLINE EXTENDED. SPJ Florida is excited to offer a High School Newsroom Grant! Your newsroom can apply for up to $500 — simply tell us what you will use the grant for and why your newsroom is so deserving.

Applications are open to all Florida high schools with a media program, big or small. If selected, winners will create a recap of how the money helped them, due by the end of the school year. Deadline to apply is Jan. 31, 2024.

LOCAL: The City of Lake Worth Beach unanimously approved a resolution naming itself an LGBTQ Sanctuary City, making it the first city in Florida to do so.
