DEADLINE EXTENDED. SPJ Florida is excited to offer a High School Newsroom Grant! Your newsroom can apply for up to $500 — simply tell us what you will use the grant for and why your newsroom is so deserving.

Applications are open to all Florida high schools with a media program, big or small. If selected, winners will create a recap of how the money helped them, due by the end of the school year. Deadline to apply is Jan. 31, 2024.

We hosted the first-ever Fake News Game Show. We fed our participants with free pocket constitutions and tater tots! Custom-made drinks, like Sean Spicy Latte and White Russian Latte, were also available.

Chapter VP of Membership Jason Parsley won SPJ's Outstanding Pro Member award. He spoke at the President's Installation Banquet tonight.
