In the wake of numerous cases of abuse within the fundamentalist churches, communities across America have banded together to create abuse awareness groups-and not in a good way. Anti-fundamentalist groups have arisen that use the mistakes and sins of fundamentalist churches as excuses to attack fundamentalism and often Christianity as a whole. We understand the need for victims to have a voice, a
nd a desire to hold fundamentalist churches accountable while at the same time, avoiding the hateful rhetoric and anti Christian themes in other survivor groups. This group is distinctly Christian, fundamentalist in doctrine, and serves to help victims maintain and encourage their faith in Christ. As a distinctly Christian group, we do not support non Christian views (atheism, agnosticism, other religions) nor anti Christian lifestyles. We also take opportunity to expose the real agendas and the hypocrisy behind many of the so-called "Do Right" groups, "IFB 'Cult' Survivor" groups, and other bloggers that seem to think they have fundamentalism all figured out, who mischaracterize and misrepresent what fundamentalism really is. We welcome friendly discussion, and sometimes debates are necessary to clarify issues, please keep them modest and do so in a loving fashion. Something that we want to be unique about this page is that we know there are those in fundamentalist churches that are angry about how other groups have viewed them as a whole, and we know the other groups have different opinions about the fundamentalists. We would like this page to be used for both sides to vent their issues, so long as it is kept in mind that the goal is always that God gets the glory. We expect some controversy, but personal insults and ad hominem attacks will not be tolerated. Participants and members are responsible for their own content. CAFE may not be in agreement with every post made here, but any factual claims or accusations that may present legal problems, the poster bears the responsibility for what is posted. CAFE is a the Facebook ministry of Do Right Christians led by Dr. James Ach, Dr. Elisha Weismann, 9 other staff members, and many other friends and contributors. Do Right Christians is one of the top independent Baptist websites in the world with an emphasis on encouraging believers to know what they believe and why, and to live in accordance with solid Biblical principles. We attempt to make our articles simple, down to earth, and often just plain downright bold honesty with a tell-it-like-it-is approach. We hope many will be encouraged by the material posted, and equipped to serve the Lord and defend their beliefs.
