Today, on International Firefighters Day, we honor the brave men and women who put their lives on the line every day to keep us safe. These courageous individuals work tirelessly to protect our communities from fires, natural disasters, and other emergencies.

Their commitment to service is truly inspiring. They leave their families and loved ones behind to run towards danger and help those in need. They work long hours in challenging conditions, often facing dangerous and unpredictable situations.

But despite the risks, firefighters continue to show up for us time and time again. They are the unsung heroes who selflessly dedicate their lives to the service of others. Their bravery and dedication deserve our utmost respect and gratitude.

So today, let us take a moment to honor these incredible individuals and thank them for their service. Let us recognize the sacrifices they make and the risks they take to keep us safe. And let us remember those who have lost their lives in the line of duty, and their families, who have made the ultimate sacrifice for the greater good.

TOG 5, TOWSOL STEP UP EFFORTS FOR THE RETRIEVAL OF CESSNA 340 OCCUPANTS

23 February 2023- The Tactical Operations Group 5, TOWSOL has been working hand in hand together with different local government agencies and local disaster response teams for the Recovery/Retrieval Operations of the remains of the pilots and passengers of the ill-fated Cessna 340 light plane that crashed near the crater of Mayon Volcano last 18 February 2023.

The Cessna 340A went missing on Saturday morning after leaving the Bicol International Airport (BIA) for Manila. It was piloted by Capt. Rufino James T. Crisostomo Jr., with mechanic Joel G. Martin and two Australian passengers, Simon Chipperfield and Karthi Santanan whom are all employees of Energy Development Corporation (EDC).

On 22 February 2023, Mayor Carlos Irwin Baldo Jr, the Incident Commander, was informed and confirmed that there were no survivors on the crash incident.

The Group Commander, TOG 5, COL KRIS B ABAD PAF (GSC) spearheaded the employment of the Philippine Air Force's S70i Blackhawk Utility Helicopter for the extrication of the SRR teams from the slopes of Mayon Volcano. He also attended the press conference lead by Mayor Baldo to impart updates on the Retrieval Operations.

The Retrieval Team is continuously exerting their best efforts to extricate the remains of the air crew and passengers of ill-fated Cessna340 down the rough terrain of the Mayon volcano in a safest way possible as they are expected to complete the operation within the day.

Tactical Operations Group 5 is grateful to work hand in hand with other member agencies, local government units and other civilian volunteers in the search, rescue and retrieval efforts of the ill-fated Cessna plane since it went missing for five days that resulted in the death of its four passengers. The collaborative efforts of AFP and other humanitarian actors to respond to this kind of emergency situation strongly ignite the spirit of BAYANIHAN among filipinos.

1. Ano ang mga qualification sa pag aapply sa bfp?

- kelangan graduate ng any 4-5 years course sa college, with eligibility. Kung graduate ka ng 3 years, pwede pa rin kung Bachelor Degree ang natapos mo, may mga school kasi na program nila yun kagaya sa PUP, 3 year course tri-sem, - BACHELOR DEGREE. Search nyo sa google yung iba pang requirements.

2. Ano ano ang mga uri ng eligibility ?

- CS Professional/ 2nd Level Eligibility
- Civil Service passer
-Board Passer (Bar or Board passer)
- Latin Honor with certificate from CSC

3. Pwede ba mag apply ang Senior High School Graduate, 2years Vocational graduate o Undergraduate sa college?

- HINDI PWEDE, College graduate dapat

4. Ilang taon pwedeng mag apply ?

- 21-30 years old
- 31-35 years ay need na ng Age Waiver (search nyo nalang pano process)

5. Ilan dapat ang height ng isang aplikante sa BFP?

Female - 1.52m or 5'0
Male - 1.57 or 5'2

6. Pano pag hindi umabot ang height sa height requirement?

- Need po kumuha ng Height Waiver ( search nalang pano ang process)

7. Effective na ba ang Bill na 5" for female at 5'2" for male na naipasa sa Senado? Yung panukala ni Bato ?

-Yes po 🙂

8. Pwede po ba mag apply kahit may anak o married na ?

- Yes, basta nasa 21-30 years old ka pa rin.

9. Kahit anong course po ba sa BFP, PNP at BJMP ?

- Yes kahit anong course ang natapos basta may eligibility.

10. Bawal po ba ang may tattoo ?

- Yes

11. Bawal po ba may deperensya sa mata,ngipin, o kahit saang parte ng katawan?

- May medical phase po ang recuitment, kung may deperensya at alam nilang di ka applicable, di ka po papayagan. Kung maliit na bagay lang kagaya ng pagpapapasta o pagpapapustiso, need mong gawin yun for your dental health. Kung pwede pang maagapan o gawan ng paraan pwede nman po, Subukan pa rin pong mag apply.

12. Magkano gastos sa pag aapply ?

-Nakadepende sayo ang gastos, lalo na sa pag aayos ng requirements.

13. Ano pinagkaiba ng FOE sa QWE ?

- Ang FOE o Fire Officer Examination ay eligibility na CSC ang magcconduct na kung saan isa sa mga requirement sa pag aapply
- Ang QWE ay Qualifying Written Exam na bahagi ng recruitment process. Isa ito sa mga process pag nakapag pasa ka na ng requirements mo.

14.Ano ano ang phase ng recruitment ?

- Medical / Physical / Dental and Laboratory Examination
- Qualifying Written Exam
(Driving Skills)
-Physical Agility Test
-Panel Interview
- Nuero Psychiatric Examination
Drug Test
(Swab Test)
Oath Taking

15. Required bang may NC III Driving ?

- Hindi, pero advantage mo yun as Applicant

16. Pano ko malalaman kung kailan at saan pwede magpasa ng pertinent ?

- Isearch mo lamang ang page ng BFP Regional Office para lagi kang updated kung kelan at saan magpapasa, May instructions naman palagi ang memo na ipopost nila. O maari ding magsadya sa pinakamalapit na Fire Station.

17. Kelangan ba ng backer para makapasok sa Bureau ?

HINDI, HINDI, HINDI, HINDI
HINDI, masarap lasapin ang bunga kapag itoy pinaghihirapan. Kung may alam kayong backer system, maari itong isumbong sa Head Office o DILG para mapanagot ang mga nasa mali.

18. Ilang months ang applyan sa BFP ?

- Depende sa memo na ibaba ng head office sa regional offices

19. Pwede po ba may salamin malabo ang mata o color blind?

- Yes po, pwede, Wag lang yung halos di na makakita. Iaassist ka naman ng mga BFP officers regarding dyan kapag nasa application process ka na.

20. Pwede po ba may hiwa, o naoperahan dati ?

- Sabihin nyo nalang po yung question na yan kapag nasa medical process ka na, be honest kasi para sa seguridad mo rin yan, baka mamaya magsinungaling ka, pagdating ng agility bumuka yan, ikaw din, sige ka.

21. Pano kapag board passer na need pa ba kumuha ng CSC or FOE?

- Hindi na, isang eligibility lang pwede na, ganun din kapag CSC or FOE passer, kahit di na muna itake ang board, sapat na yun as eligibilty na ipapasa pag nag apply. Pero kapag may board exam ang course mo mainam pa rin na itake mo yun,para sayo din naman yun.

22. Pwede ba gamitin ang NAPOLCOM as eligibility sa pag aapply sa BFP ?

- HINDI,

- Ang NAPOLCOM eligibility ay magagamit lamang sa pag aapply sa PNP.

- Ang FOE eligibility ay magagamit lamang sa pag aapply sa BFP

- Ang POE eligibility ay magagamit lamang sa pag aapply sa BJMP

- Ang CSC/PRC or Board/ Bar passer ay maaring gamitin as eligibilty sa pag aapply sa kahit na anong ahensya ng gobyerno ganun din sa pribadong institusyon.

23. Pwede ba mag apply ang isang applicant kahit sa ibang region galing ?

- Yes, basta makakapag comply at makakapagreport ka sa schedule na ibaba ng BFP Regional Office, kung saan ka nag aapply.

24. Pano kapag isa akong sundalo, teacher, nurse, agriculturist, o empleyado ng gobyerno ? Pwede ba lumipat o mag apply sa BFP?

- YES, basta hindi ka AWOL sa trabaho mo, basta ikaw ay nakapagresign ng maayos. Kung ikaw ay papalarin na makapasok at maipasa ang recruitment process, ikaw ay mapupunta sa position as FO1 o Fire Officer 1.

25. Kelan ang EXAM ng Fire Officer Exam (FOE) at Civil Service Exam (CSE) ?

25. Bakit gusto mo magBFP ?

- Tanungin mo muna sarili mo nyan, bago ka mag apply, Yan kasi magiging way mo patungo sa pangarap mo.
