Esther de Boer photography Documentair fotograaf; in december 2016 afgestudeerd aan de Fotoacademie Amsterdam As a photographer I’m interested in people and their stories.

Stories that tell something about peoples lives or about society in general. I love meeting new people – just in my neighbourhood or during my travels - and learn about their whereabouts, their hopes and their fears. I’m especially interested in social issues.

Too me, photography is an art of observation. It's about finding something interesting in an ordinary place - Elliott Erwitt

As a photographer and a person, I am interested in stories. Stories from people whom I meet, in my surroundings or during one of my travels. And which - stories or people - for various reasons, personally touch me. The closer to my feeling, the stronger the urge to capture a story in images. Especially if these stories coincide with a social theme or a global issue.
