Yesterday, I treated my daughter to a digital perm like she wanted, for her birthday. When we arrived at the salon, I decided last minute to also get a digital perm, as my last salon visit was a year ago pa. But as I sat there, waiting for my treatment, I was so uneasy. Coz I didn’t mean to spend for myself.

“Wala to sa plan, bakit ba nakisali pa ko sa gastos”. Then I caught myself thinking, “Why is it okay for me to spend on my daughter (or to anyone I love) kahit magkano, pero sakin bakit parang naguguilty ako. Pera ko naman to. I had the budget naman. Pero need ko ba talaga? Last year pa naman ako last na nagpasalon, and it would last me another year before I get another hair treatment, so maybe yes? Okay lang ba na gumastos ako for me? Okay lang yan. Okay lang kaya talaga?” 🥺

These are the constant dialogues I have with myself. Feeling uneasy and guilty when I spend for myself. Convincing myself that I deserve it naman. Replaying that over and over in my head, until the unease wears off.

Choosing to love yourself is a constant battle. And it’s okay to talk yourself out of self doubt, because it’s normal and valid to feel that way.

But always remember, (note to self 😅) you deserve the love you gift to others as well. ❤️

As my first post on this page, I want to share my Massive Transformative Purpose…

A short back story…

When people look at me, they think I’m this intimidating girl na sure sa sarili nya and mga gusto nya sa buhay. But actually, it’s only recent lang when I embraced my journey of self-love. I used to think I did not deserve to have nice things, to experience nice things, kasi sino ba naman ako. Di naman ako magaling, di ako extraordinary, normal lang naman ako. But no, we all deserve a wonderful life. We deserve all the beautiful things in life, kasi we have a wonderful God who loves us and knows na we deserve His blessings. Then I realised that when I opened myself up to knowing my worth, mas lalo pang dumami and namagnify yung blessings na nakukuha ko.

But I’m not a hypocrite, there are times when I still question myself. My journey to self-love is still ongoing. And I think hindi ako nag-iisa. Self-love is a forever thing. Haha.

Hence this page. 😉
