Following the failure of Health Professions Council of Zambia - HPCZ to conduct their licensure exams, it has come to our attention that we no longer need these exams. We propose the Health Profession Council of Zambia (HPCZ) should consider banning these LEX exams for locally trained Graduates, and only bring them when their institutions has the latest technology/ system that will ensure these exams are Leakage - free. Alternatively, we are of the view that these Exams can be introduced in universities and Colleges as an exit exam, at the final year, like the way the Nursing and midwifery Council of Zambia have done. We feel these exams are a drain to the poor unlicensed Graduate, as such, we call upon them to look into this matter with the attention it deserves.
