gyaru ni naritai 🥲

A few weeks ago I browsed around a mall and stumbled upon a Korean gyaru brand's pop-up!

I didn't buy anything, just took pictures 😆 Flipping through the Japanese gal magazines on the table was fun.

I love how gyaru fashion often brings about the question "what is gyaru exactly?" I'm fover pondering about the things I admire lol.

If I get over my fear of color contact lenses and circle lenses, maybe I can be gal 🤔

Last weekend I visited the ACDC Rag store in Harajuku for the first time since 2015! I'm really happy to see the brand continuing strong and gaining more international supporters. The building looks so nice and cool! I could only pick up some arm warmers and accessories but maybe next time I can get one of their really cool jackets 🤩

do it yourself idol style 💗❤️💚💜📸💕✨️

I just uploaded a new vlog on YouTube about what I did in February... 2023 🤣 that included visiting Florida and hosting Dream Valentine Live and doing a photoshoot with my new costume at the time with .photography ! These are just some behind the scenes pictures... we took soooooo many LOL. I've been meaning to share them within a photobook project that will... get done eventually 😶

Although the vlog content is OVER A YEAR OLD I hope you can still check it out 😅 I'm catching up on my backlog of footage and soon... we will be up to present day on my channel and I can share some more fresh content and upload more regularly!

I don't claim to be an "influencer" in the typical social media sense. I'm just a person sharing their life as a way to connect with others. I do creative projects as a form of self-expression. While some people put on a facade or a persona online, creating things online is the way I can share the real me! I'm really glad to have my energy and enthusiasm again as I'm getting back into the swing of editing videos 😁

If you haven't tried documenting your life, even if you don't post it anywhere, I suggest you do it and start today! Everyone has a life worth documenting. Even though my views are super super low, I still feel the need to edit and upload videos because I simply like looking back at what I did... and maybe I still hope one day I could reach a million subscribers 😂😂😂

Growing up in Florida, I never felt much seasonal changes 🤣 my favorite season was winter because it wasn't blazing hot. Now, having lived in Korea for a few years, summer is what I look forward to!! Seeing the greenery return and the skies become more blue is really energizing 🤩 I can't wait to have an exciting summer with a lot of all nighters 🥳

alas... I have a new vlog ready to upload on my YouTube channel: Cherry Wallflower TV

I thought living in a new country would get me super excited to vlog and share everything, but actually, I've felt really complicated about it. For one, vlogging myself in public was really gard to get used too. A foreigner vlogging... idk... it felt like I was asking for too much attention in public LOL. I slowly got over my shyness, though 😤

The second problem was figuring out an editing schedule. That just took discipline. The third problem was feeling a bit depressed. I got really depressed about world news in 2022. I was really glued to twitter and tiktok constantly seeing updates about world news. I felt really guilty about not being able to really do anything. The idea of uploading videos and asking people to watch me felt stupid. Why watch me when we could all be focusing our attention on the bigger issues in the world and open our eyes? If all of us were focused with eyes wide open, we could really change the world.

I guess I just drove myself crazy and ultimately realized that uploading vlogs or not, the world stays the same, so might as well keep uploading LOL.

I kept filming, but I got so overwhelmed with all the footage to sift through. I couldn't stop filming, though, because I'm obsessed with documenting my life 🤣

Well, I finally started chipping away the mountain of footage and slowly consolidated things to be a digestible viewable piece.

So, to begin catching up where I left off, the next vlog is the conclusion of 2022: the final three months of the year !

After that is everything from 2023...lol... and 2024 so far.

Get caught up with my unconventional life 😆 I love watching vloggers because they help me understand different perspectives, and I get inspiration from seeing how others live. I hope I'm like that to others too! >_<

Am I the only one who feels like we're just waiting around for something major to happen that will drastically alter our lives? like... sonething is around the corner and we all can't be anxious for no reason. Many people are scared of commitment. scared to commit to a relationship, plans with friends, career, or even a daily routine. is it because everything feels so up in the air so... why bother?

Tokyo.... 2023?!

Pucs from my super short Japan trip... last year 😆 I had been holding off on sharing any pictures because I wanted to wait until I edited my vlogs omg.

but now, I'm planning a short trip again at the first weekend of May! I'll only be there for three days, but I'm hoping I can make a longer trip during chuseok 🤩

I thought, we need to share SOMETHING before a whole year passes lol.

Last year's trip was so fulfilling! I got to catch up with longtime friends and meet online pals for the first time. My goal during this year's trip is... idol research 🤔

but if you are free and want to hang, let me know! I'm building a schedule and it looks like Saturday is totally free and Monday during the day is open too. Sunday I'll be cheering on and her idol group's live show! Let's goooo!!!!

there are no cherry blossom trees where I'm from in Florida so that's why this time of year feels really special to me!

Brick City Anime Festival's First Idol Fest 💖🎶

I'm really glad there was a con happening during my vacation that I could check out! I'm even more glad that there was an idol fest I could join in!

**I will tag the picture accordingly once I find the setlist paper that had everyone's names on it 😆 This also is not everyone who participated in the showcase. The show ended a little early so some of us hung around and then someone came up with the idea of a group picture, so group picture we did with whoever was left 😅

It was the con's first idol event so it was quite casual, but the crowd was pretty full! I think there was a good mix of people who enjoy j-pop, idol anime, and people who were just curious. A few years ago, I used to think "crowds with people who don't understand idol are the most difficult and awkward," but mindset really changed recently. Actually, the less the audience knows about idol, the more you can introduce them to something new and really blow their mind 😎

I thiiiink I heard that the idol fest will return for next year, so be sure to look out for it~

My performance wasn't my best, and I know that sounds annnoooyyyiiinnnggg to hear but it's true LOL however I'm thankful for those who reached out and said they enjoyed it! It really motivates me to prepare even harder 😤 This is the year I'm REALLY trying to take music and idol seriously so any kind words of encouragement are super super appreciated!!

Finally, as if I haven't posted about it enough, if you want to see me perform again with some other idol pals and support the local indie music scene, go to AKIHABAROCK this Saturday in Deland!!! The show is FREE, seriously! My set is gonna be even better and I'll be in a collaboration unit and I'm gonna be wearing a new costume ooh lala!! On Saturday I checked out and participated in their first idol fest! Thanks to everyone who watched my short performance 🥰 I'll write more about the experience in my next post!

This was my first time checking out this con and... it's my first u.s. con since... 2019! Even though the con is small in comparison to other cons, the crowd was lively and there were enough fun things to do to keep you occupied the whole day 😎 As you can see there were many backdrops to take pictures with so of course, I got creative 😂

You're probably thinking the location is kinda funny being at an... equestrian center? well, they have an expo hall, so that's where it was! If I can attend next year... I should get into Uma musume by then 🤣

I'm really glad I got to experience Florida anime con community again during this vacation 😌 I went to the con with my younger sister and we had a super fun time bonding together! These aren't even all of the silly pictures we took LOL.

Happy February! 🎶 Here is the list of performances I'll have while visiting Florida 😎 I thought this list was gonna be more impressive but one of the event organizers straight up ghosted me and I'm so confused? 😶

I'll post my setlists for both performances within the next few days 😌 The songs I'm doing are actually trendy, well, at least they were viral last year 😆 Hey, it's an improvement because normally I enjoy doing songs that are like nearly 10 years old LOL.

I'm also planning to record a quick video detailing everything so look forward to that on my YouRube vlog channel 🫡 In the mean time, you can watch my...
