About EK JHALAK:
Based in Calgary, EK JHALAK provides music by blending rhythms of Hip Hop, Sufi, Semi-classical, African, Rock, Latin, Dance and Bollywood fusion genres. Breaking the boundaries of traditional Bollywood music, EK JHALAK is a dynamic band comprising of members from Kenya, Tanzania, Afghanistan, India, Pakistan and Canada. Formed in October 2011, EK JHALAK has performed at various e

vents in Calgary, Vancouver, Edmonton, Red Deer, Saskatoon, Regina and Winnipeg for audiences of over 8,000 people. As a team of exceptional musicians and singers with a diverse background, EK JHALAK specializes in producing a 'live musical experience' by providing a fusion of the Latest Bollywood Hits & "Old is Gold" Classics, Punjabi Bhangra, Modern Ghazal, Dandia/Raas, Traditional Hindu Garbas, as well as Dance Party Music. EK JHALAK also regularly performs with numerous vocalists and is frequently invited to collaborate with other artists across the country.
