Any place I have seen youth takeover, I always wish them well because, over time the few opportune African youth have metamorphosed from Popular Champions to Destroyers of their own societies out of greed.

I pray this one should not be like that.

Look at what some young Governors elected in Nigeria turned their states into and you will be left with no option than to pray for this young man.

Desr Gov. Bago; MAY IS 1 YEAR

Just so i remind Gov. Bago, that by next month he will be 12 months in office, which is exactly 1 year.

I recalled when we tasked him to do some 100 days earmark, he said he was not voted for a 100 days tenure.

Yes! He was voted for a 4 years tenure but tasking oneself and setting out goals with a clear vision attached to timelines is a character of successful leaders.

Now that 12 months is here, and a second year is counting, it is time to begin to take stock.

It is time to see scorecards from Commissioners and MDAs, what innovations have they brought to better lives of the citizens?

It is also a time to assume full responsibility for every action taken or not taken. Lolo is out and gone forever, his scorecard is known to all and himself. Failed!

The first 1 year could be discounted as a teething period, subsequent years would not be treated same.

Performance index of critical sectors are not really smiling Except for Infrastructure.

Even the anticipated Agricultural revolution doesn’t have the required clarity, May be there is a dearth in communication or miscommunication but certainly the people doesn’t seem property mobilised to key-in.

The state is still struggling with power outages and shortages, how will that encourage SMEs? despite the creation of Ministry of Power and Energy and also Miniistry for SMEs?

Those Ministries are critical to development and job creation but they seem out of sync.

LOLO MUST EXPLAIN N122B DEBT

Ultimately Lolo left a debt burden of over N121.9 billion debt in Niger as June 2023.

This is aside the humongous FAAC allocations and IGR that cannot be explained.

Like I said, debt is not a problem but what it is used for.

Lolo needs explain how it was accumulated and for what?

Bago is also accruing debt, With N17.8billion additional domestic debt as at December 2023 and an external debt of $1.27m as at Dec 2023.

What did Lolo use the monies for?

I think Nigerlites must ask questions, and they deserve an answer.
