Mexico has an abundance of excellent metal bands. Some have more luck than others. In Aeternus Luctus had not much luck so far - while recording their absolutely stunning demo their hard disc drive had failed and most of the material has been perished. What could be retrieved ended up on this demo. And what an demo it is! If you like your black metal mixed with doom and some occult like keyboards (think Jacula) then you are in for a treat! Short but recommended!

Way overdue release on tape this is Wateland's masterpiece album "Mora". More complex, more epic, more melodic and at the same time more furious than "Berserker". It's just better in every way and a great achievement in the band's trademark black metal.

This post is going to be a long one, so make yourself comfy and allow a few minutes to digest everything. First of all - good news! Two new tapes are in production and I'm expecting Wasteland (Cro) and In Aeternus Luctus tapes this month! Finally!
Now the second point is where the post will be getting long and boring :)
As you have noticed, I haven't been too active here over the last year. There are good reasons for it. My daughter was born last year, half a year ago we moved away from Edinburgh to the Scottish Borders and had a flat refurbishment that took almost 3 months. So not only had I (and still have to an extent) everything packed away in boxes, I had next to no time to actually upload any posts, take photos, even answer messages (which I do apologize about - please keep in touch guys)
There's also the financial bit of the whole operation. The tricky bit of staying afloat.
With the UK exiting EU it was no surprise that things went a bit sh*te. That was to be expected. Sure CN22 forms are a pain, but I can deal with them. What I wasn't expecting though was that EU will impose a new tax on all imported goods from outside. And with that the orders from mainland Europe had stopped massively. Can't blame them though - who wants to pay extra tax on ordering a tape?
That was a big hit to the label's financial stability. I had to cut down on extras such as the nice Polaroid pictures or stickers on envelopes. It wasn't a decision that I took lightly but something's gotta give.
With few orders from the UK and some from outside the EU I was getting very close to the decision of shutting the label down completely. I have decided against it (for now anyway) but here's where we stand at the moment: with two new tapes being paid for and in production, once they are released I will have to sell most of the copies in order to produce new titles. And they will have to be priced between £8-£9. Simple as that.
It's even harder now with the financial crisis and I can't put more money into the label. But I won't let it die. Not just yet, not without a fight...
Anyway, if you have read this post until now I salute you :)
To end on a more positive note - We're still alive in 2023!
And if you are interested - a lot of our stock is getting very low, so if you fancy for example Borja, Absum, Fleur Rouge or some distro items - now is pretty much the time to do so. Prices are very low still.
I will also be uploading more distro items in the coming days, so keep your eyes open!
Also we have some awesome releases scheduled... so I hope we'll be able to bring them to you!
