✨ Making waves for a cleaner shore! ✨

🗓 On 20th of October ,2024 , Anvaya - The Social Responsibility Club of ADMIFMS 🌱– in collaboration with ForFutureIndia (Youth Organization), took an initiative to bring change by conducting the cleanup drive at Gorai Beach,Borivali.

During the cleanup drive our team, along with the members of ForFutureIndia ( ) collected trash to protect the marine life and to preserve our Ocean’s majesty. Every small action count and we are proud to be a part of it.

But our work isn’t done yet ! Let’s keep our beaches clean and our oceans healthy. Stay tuned for upcoming events and join us next time to be a part of it.

🌟 Making a Difference, One Sandwich at a Time 🌟

On 26 October, We as a part of ANVAYA - The SRC had the incredible opportunity to collaborate with Daan Utsav to bring smiles and nourishment to those in need. Together, we prepared and distributed sandwiches to individuals facing food insecurity in our community.

It’s amazing how a simple act can create such a profound impact. Each sandwich represents not just a meal, but also care, compassion, and connection. Seeing the joy on people's faces reminded us of the importance of coming together to support one another.

We're grateful for Daan Utsav and everyone who contributed to this effort. Let’s keep the momentum going and continue to uplift our community. Every small action counts! 💪❤️

MUNIJAN 2024: Transforming Communities through Education and Skill Development

On October 2nd, 2024, Alkesh Dinesh Mody Institute for Financial and Management Studies, University of Mumbai, fostered its involvement in the organizing committee for MUNIJAN 2024—Mumbai University's initiative to pay tribute to Mahatma Gandhi on his birth anniversary and to bring positive changes to society by engaging students of the University of Mumbai in a series of constructive, socially responsible activities.

The event, centered on the theme 'Transforming Communities through Education and Skill Development,' emphasized the importance of working collaboratively to uplift communities.

Through our collaboration with various colleges, ADMIFMS contributed to the smooth ex*****on of the program, inspiring participants to actively engage in societal improvement efforts.

On 7th October 2024, University Department of Information Technology and Alkesh Dinesh Mody Institute for Financial and Management Studies organized a session on Computational Finance.

The session had a key presence of Prof.Robert Simon, Executive Director - Master of Science in Computational Finance (MSCF) Program at Carnegie Mellon University.

The session began with a brief introduction about the Computational Finance industry following with topics such as Quant Finance Overview , MSCF Program Overview , Application Requirements & Admission Criteria, Grad School Application Tips and also about Quant Finance Resources. Students were also briefed about the sample of Recruiters and Job Functions such as Quant Research, Portfolio Management, Sales and Trading , Data Science , Strats & Modelling and Risk Management. The program concluded with a Q&A session on financial engineering landscape, role and employers, application process and requirements, CMU specific programs and potential compensation outcomes.

The students gained valuable insights from this session,which broadened their understanding and provided them with practical knowledge. We are confident that these learnings will be instrumental in their personal and professional growth.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Smita Shukla, Director of ADMIFMS, and the entire faculty of UDIT and ADMIFMS for organizing this impactful program. Their support and vision made this learning opportunity possible, and we truly appreciate their efforts in making this session a success.

On 2nd September 2024, the Placement Cell of Alkesh Dinesh Mody Institute for Financial and Management Studies organized “Recruiter Insights: A Deep Dive into Case Study Analysis” for SYMMS & M.Sc. Finance Students. The objective was to provide students with practical exposure to case study analysis through the expertise of industry professionals.

1. Ms. Sailaja MP Strategic Consultant, Innovative Research Services India Pvt Ltd

Ms. Sailaja led a highly interactive session on case study analysis. She divided the students into groups, assigning each group a specific case study to work on. Through this hands-on approach, she provided valuable insights into addressing real-time business problems, helping students apply theoretical concepts to practical scenarios. Her guidance emphasised the importance of teamwork, critical thinking, and innovative problem-solving.

2. Mr. Jitendra Apte Chartered Accountant, JN Apte & Co.

Mr. Apte’s session focused on the fundamental framework for analysis. He introduced a detailed blueprint and discussed 3-4 finance-related case studies. His approach involved identifying core issues within the cases and exploring potential solutions from both management and employee perspectives. This session provided students with a deep understanding of the intricacies involved in case study analysis and decision-making in a business context.

The success of this session was made possible by the continuous support and encouragement from Prof. Smita Shukla, the Director of ADMIFMS. Special thanks are extended to Dr. Kavita Pandey for her diligent efforts in organising the session & the entire faculty of ADMIFMS, Members of the Placement Cell for their invaluable contribution to the event’s smooth ex*****on, and students for their active participation.
