Anchorage Police Chief Sean Case reported a concerning number of pedestrian fatalities this year and indicated that time of day and weather conditions are being examined for their impact.
The incidents involved pedestrians not using crosswalks, and Chief Case advised that pedestrians should wear bright or reflective clothing and ensure they cross in well-lit areas to improve visibility.

What to do when your story does not pan out how you think especially with the weekend so close: stop for Grizzly hotdogs.
We got the Grizzly hotdog, shredded pork quesadillas and mozzarella sticks. A much needed break for a hectic workday. Everything was delicious.
The main story for the last fell through after driving 20 minutes to the location. Second story fell through after driving 19 minutes. We decided to take a brief break after the madness. Thought quickly on my feet for another story idea that I would make work in an hour.
It was a success. One hour and five interviews.
