Working with today in his lovely woody studio which is just a few doors down from mine. We put a lot of effort into mic choice and position to get the best sound for his guitar and voice performance. Settled on this setup with a , and a on the side.

A musical week draws to a close. I’ve spent the last few days up in the hills in the north of Alicante recording bass parts for Pete Ridsdale’s next album. Most weeks are a lot more mundane than this, so it’s been great to be fully occupied with varied musical projects…

Well, that was a lovely and intense few days with , cosy at times with all 8 of us packed into my little studio but a lot of fun and some great performances were captured. I think I used every cable and input on my system, and special thanks to for the loan of some additional gear…Small studios are barely viable these days, so thanks to all those bands and artists that keep this wonderful little cottage industry alive and kicking

Day 1 in the studio with the crew. The first day is always dominated by setup and getting sounds, but by the end of the day things were cooking nicely. Looking forward to dropping in tomorrow for vocals
