TODAY IS WORKERS DAY.. Saluting all the working men and women who toil for the betterment of our beautiful Zimbabwe. You are the living heroes of this great nation.

Workers define the collective destiny of a nation. The dignity of any country is in the dignity of its working people.

The reality is harsh:
we commemorate the workers day when over 80% of the working population is unemployed. Strikingly, 3.5 million youths are unemployed while 7.9 million people live in extreme poverty.
The majority live below the poverty datum line of US$575, while average wages at US$275 fall short of meeting basic needs. Punitive tax thresholds, starting at US$100, leave little to support families, where a basket of basic goods is six times higher than the minimum wage.

Every worker deserves to thrive in an inclusive Zimbabwe where everyone has access to fair and dignified employment opportunities and a balanced work environment.
In a New Great Zimbabwe;
1) Our Citizens government will put decent work agenda at the heart of our labour market policies.

2) We will elevate the TNF from the current talk show status to the prime policy formulation platform. No public policy will be implemented without passing through the TNF.

3) We will immediately grant public sector workers right to collective bargaining by ratifying and domesticating ILO Convention 151.
3) We will reestablish a living minimum wage through social dialogue.
4)We will allow workers to demonstrate and demand their rights.

The idea of an inclusive Zimbabwe free from poverty, corruption and oppression is the aspiration of all the citizens of Zimbabwe.

In a Zimbabwe free from poverty, corruption and oppression, the fruits of labour shall translate into economic progress for all. Every family shall have the chance to prosper, and the benefits of hard work shall enrich the entire nation.

A GREEN ZIMBABWE VISION ...
Today is World Earth Day. Earth is transitory home to all of us. To whom much is given much is expected.

Our Father in Heaven gave us this Earth for our happiness, success and for His glory. We have a God-given mandate to look after the planet. My heart is pained by what is happening with mining and the destruction of the environment around Zimbabwe.

What you take care of in turn takes care of you. As caretakers of the earth, let us preserve and conserve our environment for a greener, cleaner and climate smart Zimbabwe.

Let us take stewardship of our flora and fauna. I’m a big on this vision. We will lead a new green revolution that will be a template for all across the world. Join us! .

HIS WORKS, HIS POSSESSION… We are His creation and His possession. We belong to Him. Whenever we move our lips, we must testify and confess the power, glory and greatness of God. As for me, I will praise Him with every fibre and tissue in my body. I do so because I have known and seen His power and glory. Some may not see it now but God is at work in Zimbabwe. I have been shown and taught a lot about this nation, it’s past, present and future. And, as for you and me, we shall all see and testify His power in this lifetime and in this Zimbabwe. SOLID INFRASTRUCTURE PRESERVES LIVES…This morning, I’m deeply saddened by the loss of a precious life due to the building collapse in Harare over the weekend. It’s imperative that swift action in response to this tragedy is taken to ensure the protection and safety of human life. Urgent and regular building inspections and enforcement of standards are necessary, particularly in light of the increasing impact of climate change on structures. This incident highlights the urgent need for the restoration and revamping of our nation’s infrastructure, still bearing the marks of colonial legacy. The toll of broken politics on everyday lives is evident. My thoughts are with the injured, and we must do everything so that the injured receive the necessary care and support. Let’s come together to rally behind them and their families during this difficult time.
