Christ is Risen!
Live from Las Vegas! [We were unable to connect today's live stream, so please check out the message below]
Christ is Risen! Indeed, He is Risen!
Welcome to a special Easter edition of "All Things Reconciled," coming to you live from what many call "Sin City" – Las Vegas. Like many things around here, the internet connection has been sketchy. So, after trying several times to keep the livestream going, I decided to just share with you my thoughts in this post. Please check The Proximity Portal this week, as I am going to be adding some special content that really hits home many of the things we have been talking about. On to today’s message:
This Easter, we're diving deep into the profound meanings of Theosis and Apokatastasis, exploring how they enrich our understanding of the Resurrection beyond traditional narratives.
1. Victory Over Death: Today, we're not focusing solely on the narrative of atonement through blood sacrifice that predominates Western theology. Instead, we're celebrating the Eastern Orthodox perspective of the Resurrection as Christ's definitive victory over death. This is a celebration of life's triumph, vividly captured in the Paschal Troparion, singing, "Christ is risen from the dead, trampling down death by death, and upon those in the tombs bestowing life!"
2. The Church Fathers: The early Church Fathers, like Athanasius, saw in the Resurrection not just a victory over sin but a restoration of life. They spoke of Christ defeating the corruption of death and restoring humanity to life, offering us a path to divinity through Theosis.
3. The Fullness of Salvation: Our Eastern tradition understands Easter, or Pascha, as not just a moment of sacrifice but as a cosmic event of renewal. Christ, our Passover Lamb, liberates us not only through His death but through His whole incarnate experience, inviting us into a journey of becoming one with God.
4. Theosis and Resurrection: The Resurrection paves the way for Theosis, our call to partak
Is it really true that Jesus and the early Christians teach eternal damnation?

Clement of Alexandria was one of many early Christians who believed that all will be saved
"And how is He Saviour and Lord, if not the Saviour and Lord of all? But He is the Saviour of those who have believed, because of their wishing to know; and the Lord of those who have not believed, till, being enabled to confess him, they obtain the peculiar and appropriate boon which comes by Him."
