I am so excited to announce that “THE CONQUEROR WORM” has been nominated for two Iowa Motion Picture Awards, Best Actor for Luxury Bones as “The Emcee” and Best Actress for Emory Ferra as “The Mime”! I am forever grateful for the honor of working with such unparalleled talents.

ADDITIONALLY, our film has been selected for the upcoming Bijou Open Screen Festival! I adore everything the Bijou Film Board and FilmScene do for our community and am beyond excited to be a part of this! 🖤🎬☠️✨

What an incredible weekend at the Ottumwa International Film Festival!! “The Tower” had the honor of winning Best Horror Film, and to my genuine shock and immense gratitude, “Rot” won the Audience Choice Award! I saw many wonderful films by talented Iowan and International filmmakers and made some really exciting future plans.

I want to express my thanks to the whole team and attendees at the Ottumwa International Film Fest for these honors. 2025 is truly shaping up to be a big year for Matriarch Films. More news coming soon!! 🖤☠️🎬

I’m thrilled to announce that “The Tower” and “Rot” have both been selected to screen at the 2025 Ottumwa International Film Festival! I am so excited to present these horrific beauties again. Come out to Ottumwa March 21st & 22nd to see these award winning shorts on the big screen.

And maybe after this, it’ll be time to finally publish them online… 🖤☠️🎬

About CITY M Productions

City M Productions is an independent production company specializing in short-form and feature-length narrative films. Founded by Carrsan T. Morrissey and Shelby Davis in 2018.

Our mission statement is “to tell underrepresented stories in unconventional ways”. We fulfill this mission by casting primarily LGBTQA+ and POC actors, combining film genres in boundary-pushing ways, and exploring the deeper psychological and societal implications of systematic marginalization and bigotry.

We are the creative team behind “WHAT IF?” and “DAWN”, the feature-length, fan-made film adaptations based on the award-winning video game franchise “Life is Strange”.
