In the colder months of 2013, our international team of writers, photographers, designers and illustrators began an exploration of outsider communities referred to as E X O. During our investigation, we landed upon HD189733b, an azure blue exo planet with a landscape as nightmarish and fantastic as a science fiction novel's invention: raining glass, winds that reach over 7000 kph and temperatures

over 1000 degrees Celsius. We fell in love and decided to dedicate our first issue of E X O magazine to the exploration of exo planets. Equally interested in scientific findings, journalistic explorations, artistic reactions or poetic readings, we will split the magazine into two sections so one might learn more about the fascinating investigation into these other worlds and who’s chasing them, as well as witness how some brilliant story tellers and artists react to the stimulus of other worlds, doppelganger earths and exo planets in general. In addition to the physical magazine, we will have a dedicated web page where musicians will create a planetary playlist to accompany you as you venture through the magazine.
