News: Dhaka suffers the most from heatwaves

Due to heat flow, the productivity of workers decreases, affecting economic production overall. Dhaka city suffers greater economic damage compared to other major cities in the world due to intense heat flow. The GDP of Dhaka city is reduced by 8 percent due to heat flow - approximately 600 million dollars per year. At the current market rate (at 110 taka per dollar), this amounts to 66 billion taka. Therefore, Bangladesh is in a rather precarious situation due to heat flow.
