Since I made it through my 50’s, I decided to write a post about what people should look at financially to prepare for their 60’s and eventually, retirement. I originally posted this back in April but recently completed some updates so here is the refreshed version!

This segment from the Red Skelton show in 1968 shows a time when the hippie culture was starting to become mainstream so even established acts like Liberace were trying to be psychedelic. Most people called the song ‘Feelin’ Groovy’ but it was named ‘The 59th Street Bridge Song’ originally by Simon and Garfunkel. Typical stuff on tv back then.

Paul McCartney released the album ‘Memory Almost Full’ on June 4th 2007 in the UK and in the US the following day June 5.
By this point, McCartney had not been the big hit maker of his past in some time. His voice had mellowed from his high pitched rock and roll scream that he previously had available to him. However, the song writing and playing was still top notch.

The result was a comeback album with great songs, including ‘Dance Tonight’, which was his highest charting single in over 10 years.

In the post, ‘Paul McCartney: Top 50 Post Beatles Songs’, three songs from ‘Memory Almost Full’ made the list and another made honorable mention.
Not bad output from a guy who, at the time was 65 years old.

Rocky III was released in theaters May 28,1982. This is probably not the best movie in the Rocky series but this is my favorite one to watch. Two fight scenes, campy dialogue, a strong comeback and a new friendship formed from 2 strong enemies combine to make this a stop if I am flipping through and see it. What do you think of it? #80’s

This new post, 'Living Life Gracefully and Embracing the Beauty of Aging' talks about the importance of embracing the journey of growing older and cherishing the unique experiences that come with it. While the focus is on the 50+ crowd, it is a good message for everyone as we are all younger today than we will ever be and dealing while dealing with the changes that our body and mind are going through.

I would love any feedback you have on the post, the formatting, the topic itself or anything that you have as I am trying to improve the content with every new piece that I publish.

A great way to embrace the beauty of aging is by simply embracing the natural transformation that is taking place.

1981 was a huge year for music and innovation. It was the year that a song with rap vocals reached #1 on the music charts. MTV was also first launched in 1981 and many iconic albums were at the top of the charts.
