UPDATE 11:45 AM - Freshman Ella Shaw has advanced to the championship match and will be wrestling for her first sectional title!

Heads up for those traveling to the Charlestown Pirates Basketball game tonight: There is an overturned semi on I-64 at Exit 86 and all lanes are closed! Traffic is currently backed up approximately 14 miles.

It has been suggested that travelers exit at Corydon (Exit 105) and route around that way.

The SAIL Team is excited to partner with The New Washington State Bank to bring the Bank Shot Program to Charlestown High School's home basketball games this season! Tomorrow night at the girls' game vs Silver Creek will be the first night of the contest so be sure to find SAIL Team members Ava Benner and Aiden Stewart to purchase your chance to win up to $100! Our cheerleaders are headed to state tomorrow so today we did a little impromptu reel to see what folks around school could show in support of them! We got toe touches, splits, and cheers!

It's almost time for CHS's 3rd Annual Track-or-Treat and we can't wait to see you! 📅 TOMORROW!! October 24, 2024 🕖 7:00-8:00 PM 🎟 $5 per child; All proceeds go to the Elf Tree through the North Clark Outreach Center Come enjoy a safe environment for your littles to get some candy, have fun with the Pirate and Lady Pirate athletic teams who will be showing off their best costumes and decorations, and help those less fortunate in our community during the holiday season.

2024 IHSAA Regional Semifinal - Charlestown defeats Lawrenceburg in on PKs

⚽ PIRATES WIN!!! PIRATES WIN!!!! ⚽ After two overtime periods with the score tied at 1-1 in the IHSAA Regional Semifinal, it came down to penalty kicks!! The Pirates hit 4, while Lawrenceburg hit 3. This was the final kick and Cristian "Junior" Martinez sealed the victory for Charlestown! (Other successful PKs by Bradley Watts, Jaime Ortiz, and Jared Taylor.) They advance to the Regional Semifinal, the 2A Elite 8, at Heritage Hills on Saturday. Details to come on that!
