BUYER BEWARE - This Chucky doll is being advertised as a full, original prop from Child’s Play 2 and will be auctioned off this month by . Although the overalls might be authentic, the doll itself ISN’T ONE OF MINE. I possess all the puppets and dolls from that film and am the only one who can authenticate them. The body form is entirely a fake. There is a possibility that the head and hands were used as separate parts in the factory scenes and were later assembled here to appear as a complete Chucky doll, but this isn’t an original in its current state.

Sad to hear about the passing of Ted White. I got to work with Ted on He was a tough cowboy actor with a big heart. He told me great stories of old Hollywood, when he used to stunt double for John Wayne and Clark Gable. He once shared a story about working on a low budget horror film. He was playing the monster in the film. Dressed in a heavy creature suit and working alone at the bottom of a water tank, Ted suddenly noticed that communication had suddenly stopped with the crew outside the tank. Unbeknownst to him, the crew broke for lunch and accidentally left him underwater. To make matters worse someone, absentmindedly, shut off his air supply. While the crew went to lunch, Ted almost drowned. When they finally realized their mistake and pulled him out of the water, Ted punched out three crew members who stood nearby before finally regaining his senses. It must have been incredibly frightening and understandably frustrating. Knowing about this story, I must admit, I was a bit nervous when I applied his Jason makeup. I was extra careful not to drip any glue or solvent in his eyes.
