Finding peace and love in chaos… that was my 2023 lesson.

A lesson that taught me to choose me over and over again, everyday.

A lesson filled with finding your peace and knowing that you are worthy.

I learnt the hard way that despite of societal norms and prejudices… they are not the ones paying my bills.

People will be people, some are kind and some are horribly awful. People project their turbulent feelings onto you.

Show up as your authentic self, show them grace and some good old loving kindness.
Keep your side of the street clean.

Have you ever thought about Karma?

Yesterday I spent the morning with my auntie, we had chamomile tea and some vegetarian snacks.

Our conversations were centered around karma and the importance of peace.

She says that as humans we are driven from our desires.

The desire to have the most expensive cars, designers handbag and everything pretty and nice. All revolving around material things.

There is nothing wrong in wanting those things.

But if it comes at the cost of peace, then what is the point?

For example, I can save up for the most beautiful and expensive handbag but tomorrow I sleep with a hungry stomach - that is the cost of my peace.

Another cost of peace and creating Karma is what we say through our lips… she reminded me that we create a lot of nonsense through our mouth.

This involves the sweet nothing we say, empty promises we make, and hurtful intentions we say and also think about.

So therefore it is better to speak only when you can be integral with our words.

Last but not least, she wants to introduce me to a good boy to marry 😂 I love asian aunties.

The Live Intentionally with Ladymarsela Podcast turns 4!!!!

We turned 4 on 15 October… but I wanted to sit down and really think about the lessons we have learnt together.

Another year and another season of healing.
Sharing vulnerable moments and learning curves with my community of people who are ready for a positive mind-shift.

Today, all I can say is…

I’m grateful that you all give me a safe space to share.
I’m grateful that we can learn together.
I am grateful for my community.

Growth will also feel like loss…

That one hit me like a ton of bricks, in the journey of healing and growth, I never thought it would feel so sad.

Taking rejection like a champ, understanding that now is not the right time, saying goodbye to a life that you thought of as a loss.
Letting go was the hardest.

Growth - which is a beautiful state can also feel like loss.

Saying goodbye to an old version of you is sad, knowing your worth and getting acquainted with this new version of you can be awkward at first.

Loving yourself a little harder can trigger this melancholy feeling.

You know what helps? Accepting that you once didn’t know better, you couldn’t accept yourself and you didn’t have patience with yourself.

Acknowledging that I felt sad that I didn’t see me, the old me could not accept her reality.

But each day is an invitation to work on yourself, love yourself, forgive yourself, heal and grow.

Saying yes to new opportunities, venturing to new horizons and trusting again is scary.

If you feel a particular feeling, let it flow, flowing is accepting.
It’s okay to feel sad as you grow.

Respecting the season I’m in.

I’m honoring myself, honoring my mind, body and spirit.

Listening to my intuition, my gut feeling and trusting myself.

Can’t compare anymore as I’m enjoying and blooming in my season.

Right now it’s Spring 🌸 I am finding joy in all that I do and saying No to what stresses me.
Everything seems so new.

This season will come and go, so right now all I can do is respect it and allow it to show me what I need to learn and cultivate.

My favorite part of my day is starting off my daily routine - from making my bed, to matching my accessories to the clothes I will wear - up till my cuppa java sip.

Even going to your favorite coffee shop can be penciled in. Why? To manage your day better of course!

There is some sort of power in an organized life.

Although I love spontaneity, I find comfort in having a schedule, routine and having to do lists to keep my life on track.

Why do I do this? To eliminate stress.
A stress free life is freedom.

In my Happy Girl Era - Fitness is not my strongest suit (more Yoga and flow girl). The hike was not easy for me, but the company was so good that I made it to the top with the support of my people. I feel so loved and supported.

Have you ever just looked at life from a different perspective only to realize that, it’s kind of like an adventure park?

Life is an adventure park, the rollercoaster can get crazy, the long lines can be draining, but you make beautiful memories along the way.
