Veleno Viola is a label run by Francesco Baudazzi aka Violet Poison. After having his first experiences between 2009 and 2012 at “Zooloft” , a label managed by him under the pseudonym “Obtane” and Giorgio Gigli followed by a brief collaboration with Shapednoise (Violet Poison Records, Violetshaped) he founded Veleno Viola in 2015, a vinyl-only label focusing on mutant electronic music influenced b
y DIY-aesthetics, ranging from body music and synth wave to industrial, acid and porto-techno. Conceptually also inspired by the Italian underground movements from the 80’s and the VHS imagery of steampunk/nonsense/grotesque B-movies, Veleno Viola releases new productions all influenced by those years. Giorgio Gigli zwischen 2009 und 2012 gemanagt hat und einer kurzen Kollaboration mit Shapednoise (Violet Poison Records, Violetshaped) er gründete Veleno Viola letztendlich im Jahre 2015: ein “vinyl-only” Label, das sich auf von der DIY-Bewegung beeinflusste, “mutierte” elektronische Musik konzentriert, die sich hauptsächlich aus EBM, Synthwave, Industrial, Acid und Proto-Techno zusammensetzt. Die Veröffentlichungen von Veleno Viola sind auch von den italienischen Alternativbewegungen der 80er und der VHS-Ästhetik von Steampunk/Nonsense/ groteske B-Filme stark geprägt. Das bisherige Katalog streckt sich über ein breites musikalisches Spektrum: Proto-EBM von Mace., EBM-Techno von Konkurs, Proto-Wabe von DSX & Sid Lamar und Aufnahmen von Monica Hits The Ground, die die Anfangszeit des Industrials hervorrufen.
