Troy Patterson is available on a freelance basis within the Kincardine, Bruce, Grey and Huron county areas for photography and professional writing/editing services. Bio: Troy Patterson was born Oct. 30, 1981 in Kincardine, Ontario and raised in Port Elgin, where he was educated at Saugeen District Secondary School. He graduated with a Silver Andy Award, named second in his class by his professor
in Mohawk College's Journalism and Communications Media Class of 2005. He has since been employed as a journalist and photographer with Sun Media, working for Shoreline Beacon as a student reporter before college in 2001-2002 and news editor in 2005-2006. From 2006-2018 Patterson was editor of The Kincardine News, having seen his work published in the Owen Sound Sun Times, London Free Press, St. He was also the editor, coordinator and designer of Lakeside Living Magazine, a tourism monthly publication that published four times annually from Tobermory to Grand Bend. Patterson was also responsible for the design, photography and layout of the Escape to Kincardine Visitor's Guide, Kincardine Scottish Festival Program, Kincardine Phone Book Cover and many other Sun Media/Postmedia publications. His freelance writing and photographic work has been published by the Ontario Power Generation, Tiverton Minor Hockey, Bruce County Wave Youth Flag Rugby, Kincardine Scottish Pipe Band (For use on T-Shirts and Merchandise), Dairy Farmers of Ontario - Milk Producer Magazine, Ontario Dental Hygienists' Association, Municipality of Kincardine (Downtown banners), Kincardine BIA (Tourism ads), Kincardine Scottish Festival (official photographer 2008-2009) and numerous other newsletters and industry/public relations publications. Troy is the father of two gorgeous children, Tira and Tynan. They are a major focus of his photographic efforts, for good reason. :)
