I am a firm believer in supporting small businesses and have been long before I started Behind Her Veil! I grew up watching my mom build her business from scratch and it is still thriving 35 years later. She started as her only employee and now runs a business with over 50 employees. I have plenty of friends and family who rely on their businesses to feed their families, pay their bills, and put gas in their car. It is so much more fulfilling to pay $10 for a coffee at my local hole in the wall coffee shop, knowing the impact that is has on that family, than to pay $10 at Starbucks. I see the impact and the need to support each other. When Kroger shuts down, your local farmer will still be in business.

Hi! My name is Maci! I am a wife, sister, aunt Mae Mae, school resource officer, and a photo fanatic. ✨

I was inspired to start this business for many reasons. I have always been the “photo” friend. Anywhere I go, no matter what I’m doing, I always take a photo. A moment is gone within seconds, and a picture is a forever memory.

This idea popped into my head almost two years ago at my wedding, before I knew wedding content creating businesses and entrepreneurs existed.

Your photographer/videographer can’t be everywhere at once on your wedding day. My guests had captured moments from our wedding on their phones and sent them to me the next day and I thought that was so pure. The owner of the mobile bar we hired had made a reel highlighting some fun moments from our reception and sent it to me the next day.

Fast forward, I was inspired to launch Behind Her Veil. I am so passionate about serving others and want every bride (and groom) to have the opportunity to relive their wedding day with authentic & candid content the day after their wedding, like I did.

I am so excited to embark on this journey and can’t wait to see what God has in store for this! Let’s get started! 📸
