We understand the principle that states you have to pay the bills. Therefore, in a media rich enterprise such as a magazine you are “supposed” to sell advertisement space in order to pay the costs of doing business such as printing, authors, editors, etc. We decided, as have the hundreds that we spoke with; there are just too many advertisements in the traditional herpetoculture magazines availabl
e today. We are solving that issue. Anyone who writes an article or provides photography for Herpetoculture House will be granted the opportunity to advertise in our eZine. There will be no other advertisements of any kind. No one writing for us will get smaller or larger billing in advertisement space. Herpetoculture House is setting the bar of the new herpetoculture community who hungers not for the next big product, but the best information they can obtain. We should also mention that our managing editor is none other than the brilliant Dr. Robert G. Sprackland who has authored such books as Giant Lizards, Guide to Lizards, Savannah and Grassland Monitors just to mention a few. Our marketing director is the young & happenin' Matt Charnock. He's working towards a BS in Zoology at A&M and has extensive knowledge regarding Indo. Matt also heads the"Facebook Fan Page" as our Social Media Manager as well. The format of the current eZine is as a PDF that will change as time allows us to move into new markets which we are watching especially in the Tablet PC world. We are well aware of all the formats out there but they are in a state of flux to say the least and we are currently working hard on one single format to go across all proprietary name brands.
