Hiregood — Breaking the Cycle of Poverty

We just produced this video for our friends at hiregood.ca, a local social enterprise that employs people facing barriers to the formal job market. Many of their employees are experiencing homelessness or poverty. Hiregood provides on-site training, mentorship, and pay a living wage to all employees in an effort to break the cycle of poverty. #yeg #videoproduction #nonprofit

It’s that time of year again when we spend much needed, valuable time with our loved ones and friends. We exchange gifts and enjoy all the comforts of home. Let’s not forget those in our community experiencing homelessness or fighting the cycles of poverty, not just during the holiday season but throughout the harsh winter and year round. We recently created this video for Boyle Street Community Services that profiles Bob, the ID Services Coordinator. He talks openly about his time at Boyle Street and the transformational effects of his work. The gifts we share with each other can be so different in many ways.

We love working with not-for-profit organizations. Not only do we get an insight into how they operate and the valuable services they offer the community, but we get the chance to help them tell their story and share it with a wider audience. They also benefit from our special 'non-profit' rates as it is rewarding to help services such as Edmonton Meals on Wheels. We have recently been helping our friends at Boyle Street Community Services with the promotion of their Boyle Street 40 fundraising campaign by creating some videos to encourage people to participate in the challenge, have fun and raise funds for this worthwhile cause.
