Kwanzaa 2024 was awesome! Thank you for the honor of being nominated as woman of the year! It was such a joy to be on the ballot with so many amazing women! Congratulations to Dr. Nashlie Sephus on being crowned Woman of The Year. Congratulations to all the nominees and thank you so much Women For Progress of Mississippi for the honor. Love you much! On Wednesday I had the awesome honor to sing at the AG’s Christmas Tree ceremony honoring victims of crime. To be able to bring light to a tough situation is always an honor for me. Thank you all for having me again this year. Love ya much! Joanne

As we get closer to our Woman To Woman With Joanne Presents The 6th Annual Mississippi Legends Ball , I want to introduce our actors. First, we are excited to share that Pat Smith will be portraying the amazing Lannie Spann McBride. We can’t wait to celebrate this awesome event with you.

Patrica Smith is a gifted and talented singer and actor who has been blessed with many great opportunities including making guest appearances as background vocalist for many artists including Kim Burrell, Johnathon Nelson, Motown Legend GC Cameron, Carl Carlton, to name a few.

She can be found on the stage play soundtrack Secret Tears, written by playwright Troy Bucker, the soundtrack Soul Damage, by author Maximus Wright and she has worked with Stellar and Grammy award winner Kynee Smith.

She is a recipient of a MS Jackson Gospel Music Award and has starred in gospel stage play “Soul Damage” cast alongside award winning actor and singer Tony Grant, and gospel stage play “Missing Pieces” by award winning Alvin Moore .

She has also worked with playwright Alvin Moore, Roland Pollard, Curtis Nichols to name a few. She is a graduate of Jackson State University and works as a social worker in her local community. She is thankful to God for the gifts and talents she has been given to share with the world.
