I've lost control - I can't even manage a toothbrush
As much support as there might be to help homeless people get off of rock-bottom, it's not as accessible as one might think. For starters, you need to make calls regularly, every single day to secure a spot in a detox or treatment center, so if you can't hold onto a phone, it's unlikely you would be able to make those calls in the first place. Holding onto a phone can be next to impossible when you're homeless because of how often they are stolen from people who often barely have anything to lose in the first place. Show compassion for those struggling, a little kindness can go a long way and have an impact greater than you might believe is possible.
