About the Swiss Jazz Award
The Swiss Jazz Award was set up in 2007 by Radio Swiss Jazz in partnership with JazzAscona and was originally intended as a public choice award to promote the Swiss jazz scene. In 2017, 2018 and 2019, an expert jury selected the winner of the Swiss Jazz Award directly. The aim of the exercise is to promote Swiss jazz bands and musicians who combine talant and artistic quality with a capacity to move and involve a wide audience, both on CD and when performing live.
